Of course, Slightly was the first to get a word in.
“Wendy lady,’’ he said quickly, “we built this house for you.’’
“Oh, please say you like it!” cried Nibs.
“What a lovely, lovely house,” Wendy said. The boys were delighted. “We are your children.” said the twins.

“_______” said Peter. “We just need a nice motherly person.”
“Oh, really?” Wendy said. “I think that is exactly what I am.’’
“It is. It is!” they all cried.
“Very well,” she said, “I will do my best. Come inside now you naughty children. I think there’s just enough time for me to finish the story of Cinderella before I put you to bed.”
They went in, and that was the first of the many joyful evenings they had with Wendy. By and by she made them comfortable in the big bed in their home under the trees. But she herself slept that night in the little house. Peter kept watching outside with a sword(剑), because the pirates(海盗) could be heard drinking far away, and the wolves were going about for food. In August, 2021, some new rules came out to restrict(限制) young people’s online game time. People under the age of 18 can only play online games three hours a week. Online game providers can offer only one-hour service to young people from 8 p. m. to 9 p. m. on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays. They are very popular with teachers and parents.
Zhang Zhe, a high school teacher in Nanjing, thinks online games influence students’ studies a lot. At home, parents often find it hard to stop their children from playing them. What’s worse, students might have no interest in developing friendship. “Students who become seriously addicted(上瘾的) to online games often find all kinds of excuses to play them. They also spend little on food or clothes to save their money for online games. So I think it is really necessary for the government to take action.” said Wu Li, a teacher in Wuhan.
Mrs Wang, a mother of a high school student in Shanghai, used to have difficulty keeping her son away from online games, so she felt really glad when the new rules came out. “Whenever I tried to stop him, he got really angry. For several months, he even refused to talk to me.” said Mrs Wang.
Thanks to the rules, students can have more time to take up new hobbies. To make sure that students develop healthier lifestyle(生活方式), schools, teachers and parents need to work closely to help young students find proper hobbies, and hold different after-school activities for them.

E(2022·江苏常州·中考真题)
Being sad or in a low mood is a normal (正常的) part of life. Many people feel down from time to time. For example, when people face challenging events in their lives, such as financial(经济的) difficulty or major changes, it’s common to feel down. But in most cases the bad feelings slowly disappear.
As for depression(抑郁症), however, the bad mood lasts for weeks, months, or ever longer because it is a mental(精神的) illness. As the World Health Organization(WHO) noted, depression is a mood disorder. It shows in different ways, including loss of interest in normal activities and feelings of low self-worth. It often lasts for a long time and greatly harms a person’s ability at work or school or in the daily life. People with depression usually don’t like to talk about their problems with others. More seriously, depression may even lead to the act of killing oneself.
“Depression is not just a bout(一阵) of sadness or a sign of weakness, and you can’t just simply stop feeling depressed.” said the health news website www.mayoclinie.com.
But depression is not a person’s problem. It’s also more common than most people think. It is hurting about 280 million people around the world, according to WHO.
Though depression is worrying, we don’t have to be afraid of it. Depression can be treated by getting professional(专业的) help, taking medicine or a mixed treatment of both. In fact, when you begin to feel the danger of depression, you can try to deal with it early by yourself. Listening to music, doing some sports and drawing some pictures might help you feel better. Another useful way is talk therapy. When we are attacked by a low mood, having a conversation with others is of great help. Being honest about how we feel does not make us weak, it makes us human.
70.Who is most probably experiencing depression?
A.Lily, who is going to have an important exam and hasn’t slept well for 3 days.
B.May, who dislikes her new school and has complained to her parents 3 times.
C.Ben, who thinks life worthless and has cried alone over 3 times a week in the past month.
D.Tom, who finds subjects hard and has talked to his teacher about it 3 times this week.
71.What does the writer think of depression?
A.Normal and nothing serious. B.Uncommon although harmful.
C.Unavoidable and untreatable. D.Treatable although worrying.
72.What’s the passage mainly about?
A.Knowledge of depression. B.Ways of treating depression.
C.Reasons for depression. D.Results of depression.

In July, 2021, China introduced the “double reduction” policy. It is expected to lower students’ learning pressure by reducing homework and after-school classes.
According to the policy, students in Grade 1 and Grade 2 should have no written exams. Also, students in other grades at primary schools should only have one final exam for every term. Middle schools are allowed to organize one test in the middle of the term and one at the end.
Some schools have organized too many tests that are too difficult. As a result, students have to study hard all the time and they have been under a lot of stress. It has been harmful to students’ mental (心理的) and physical health and it must be changed.
According to the policy, schools and classes should not organize weekly or monthly tests. Also schools should make sure the difficulty of the tests does not go above the national teaching plan. The exam should pay more attention to basic knowledge and skills, and the number of questions based on rote (死记硬背) learning should be reduced.
At the same time, the exam results should be divided into four to five grades without giving the scores. The exam results will no longer be announced in public. Instead, schools should tell parents and students the results in a proper way. The exam results can’t also be used to decide which class a student will be in or where he should sit in class, the policy added.
73.When was the policy introduced?
74.According to Paragraph 4, what should be reduced in exams?
75.How should schools tell parents and students the exam results?
