应用文
With the graduation ceremony approaching, it is time to plan my future study and life.
As I wish to become an interpreter in the future, chances are that I would major in English in university. Hopefully, professional courses delivered by learned experts will equip me with relevant knowledge needed as an excellent translator. Moreover, in translation, practical experience might be much more important than academic learning. So, I will jump at every opportunity, especially some exchanging programs to further enhance my language skills.
Only with careful planning, down-to-earth accumulation, and persistent effort will I eventually live my dream.
参考范文:
As she reached in her baggage, she gasped with surprise. At that moment, in her sight came the packet of cookies, which had been just bought by her, unopened at all. Ashamed and feeling like a thief, she finally got that the cookies were not hers but belonged to the man sitting next to her, who had calmly offered to share his last cookie with her. A sudden rush of shy blood filling the face, she instinctively look around with the hope of finding the very man to make an apology.
Surprisingly, she found the man sitting just behind her. He was just looking up and met her eyes, also with a smile on his face. The woman was at an absolute loss but gave the man a nervous laugh in return. With a quite open mouth, she was unable to say any apology to him. Murmuring “Sorry, sorry…It was I myself who was the real cookie thief.” After a while, she fell asleep on her seat with the plane flying steadily. The next day, when she arrived at her new company, the biggest surprise was waiting for her.

Text 10招蚊子的原因
W: (17)Hello, everyone. Welcome to our program Approaching Science. When it comes to summer, the first thing people may think of is the high temperature, followed by the mosquito bites. But do you know why mosquitoes prefer biting some people to others? It’s generally believed that mosquitoes like to bite people with type O blood because their blood tastes sweet. (18)However, mosquitoes don’t have the ability to recognize blood types from a great distance. In fact, there is no scientific basis for the rumor. Scientists think the most important elements mosquitoes rely on when choosing one person over another are the smell and the heat released by the human body. (19)In addition, it is true that people wearing black clothes are more likely to attract mosquitoes than those wearing blue or yellow clothes. As we all know, mosquitoes can also bring diseases to people while they are biting people. (20)Therefore, we’d better learn how to avoid mosquitoes and how to handle mosquito bites.
