She  was advised  to  abandon any  ambition for a musical career. But, she refused  and practiced  the piano for 12 hours a day to make up for lost lime. In spite of great  difficulties, she went  on to struggle for a  dislinguished  careen as a  harp- sichondist.Her international breakthrough came in 1956 when she won the AHD International Music Compe- tition in Munich.
