    二、表示请求许可
    1. culd表示请求允许,其句型结构为:
    Culd I/we +动词原形+ 意为"请问我(们)能做……吗? "
    肯定回答:Sure. / Of curse. / N prblem.
    否定回答:I’m srry / Srry, yu can’t. 若关系比较亲近,也可以直接说N, yu can’t.
    【温馨提示】在以上句子结构中情态动词culd不是can的过去式,而是用来表示委婉语气的,后跟动词原形。

    2. 另外,用Culd I ...?时,表示请求对方准许,对方回答时不能用culd,而要用can。

    三、culd与can的区别
    culd与can都是情态动词,culd是can的过去式。二者都可用于表示请求,但是用法稍有不同:
    1. can表示一般性的请求,语气随便,常用于熟人之间或长辈对晚辈、上级对下级的场合。
    ☞ Can yu tell us yur stry, Tny? 你能给我们讲讲你的故事吗,托尼?
    2. culd表示有礼貌地请求,语气委婉,常用于非熟人之间或晚辈对长辈、下级对上级的场合。
    ☞ —Culd yu tell us if it snws in winter in Australia? 请告诉我们,澳大利亚冬天下雪吗?
    —Sure. 当然可以。
    四、while的用法
    while用作连词时有以下几种含义:
    while引导状语从句时,应注意以下几点:
    while引导时间状语从句时,既可放在句首,也可放在句中;
    而while引导的让步状语从句一般放在句首,不放在句中。另外,也可以从意义上加以区分。
    例:Her parents died while she was still at schl. 她还在读书时父母就去世了。(时间状语从句)
    While he was tired, he went n wrking. 虽然他累了,但他还是继续工作。(让步状语从句)
    while引导让步状语从句时,如果从句的主语和主句的主语相同,且谓语含有be动词,
    那么从句的主语和be动词都可以省略。
    例:While he was ill, he went there. = While ill, he went there. 虽然他病了,但他还是去那里了。
    while引导的时间状语从句的谓语动词常用延续性动词,表示“与同时,在.期间”。
