Here’s a look at the some new events added to the Olympic program for the Beijing Games, which began with the Opening Ceremony on Feb. 4, 2022.
Aerials-Mixed Team Event
Individual men’s and women’s aerials (空中技巧) events have been part of the Olympic program since the Lillehammer Games in 1994, with skiers launching themselves straight in the air and completing a dizzy array of tricks before landing back on a snowy slope. In mixed team aerials, each country enters three skiers — it can be two men and a woman, or two women and a man. The scores are added together for the final.
Freestyle Skiing-Big Air (Men’s and Women’s)
Big air snowboarding made its Olympic debut (初次登场) in 2018. The skiing event debuting in 2022 follows the same basic concept, with skiers flying off a huge slope and performing the biggest trick they can. One athlete to watch for is 2018 Olympian Alex Hall, who finished fourth when the event made its world championships debut in 2019.
Short Track Speedskating-Mixed Team Relay
The mixed team relay is a 2,000-meter race in which two women and two men from a country combine to cover 18 laps. Each skater races twice, with the order going woman - woman - man - man - woman - woman - man - man. The mixed relay has been part of the world cup series since the 2018-19 season.
Ski Jumping-Mixed Team Event
The mixed team event trend continues here, this time with teams consisting of two men and two women from each country. The competition, which takes place on the normal hill, was first held at the world cup level in 2012, and it’s been part of the world championships since 2013.
21.What is the final point of each country’s skiers in Aerials-Mixed Team Event?
A.The final try of the last athlete. B.The total score of the three skiers.
C.The added result of two members. D.The highest score in each country’s team.
22.What is Alex Hall?
A.A famous world athlete in Freestyle Skiing.
B.An experienced athlete in Ski Jumping.
C.A player in Aerials-Mixed Team Event.
D.A famous coach on Short Track Speedskating.

B.They run with the same order of woman and man.
C.They have the same requirements of team members.
D.They need to cover a long distance in the competition.

An 82-year-old Chinese female pilot has set a record in the country's airline industry (航空业) after flying a small plane for 40 minutes in Beijing. Miao Xiaohong, one of China's second batch (一批) of female pilots, controlled the Tecnam P2010 plane to take off, turn, climb, dive and land safely at the Shifosi Airport in Pinggu District of Bejjing.
In 1956, Miao Xiaohong, who graduated from a high school in Jinan, won a position in the second batch. She graduated from the flight school in 1958. In the following years, she flew many important missions (任务). In 1963, she accepted a mission to airdrop materials for the flood-stricken areas in Hebei Province. Poor visibility (能见度) prevented her locating the target areas as the clouds were about 100 meters above the ground, but she managed to finish the task.
In 1989, she retired and started her writing carer. When she collected materials for her books, she found that many aged pilots in other countries still flew, so she had the idea to return to the sky. To prepare for the flight, she walked 3,000 steps every day and moved her arms to meet the requirements for high-altitude flight during the past two months. Different from past flights for missions, this time her goal was to enjoy the flight. She said that it was exciting and fresh. “Seeing the boundless blue sky unfold in front of me, I feel it is very open,” she said.
The trainer said that Miao Xiaohong could finish 30 hours of flight to get a license for commercial flight. She said, “My physical condition is good enough to finish the 30-hour flight but it is not so important for me to get such a license. After achieving my dream of returning to the sky, I hope to encourage young women to join the airline industry. I'm 82 years old and I can fly again. You, the young people, can fly and will fly better than me.”
24.What can we learn from the airdrop mission carried out by Miao Xiaohong?
A.She was a very lucky pilot. B.She had excellent flying skills.
C.She suffered from poor eyesight. D.She always finished hard tasks.
25.What made Miao Xiaohong have the idea of flying a plane at the age of 82?
A.Her deep love for sky. B.Her wish to set a flying record.
C.The influence of other aged pilots. D.The requirements of her books.
26.Which of the following word can best describe Miao Xiaohong?
A.Faithful. B.Stubborn. C.Generous. D.Determined.
27.What might be the best title for the passage?
A.Returning to the Blue Sky B.Improving Your Flight Skills
C.Managing to Finish Difficult Tasks D.Improving Yourself to Set a Record

China’s Yutu 2 Rover, which was crossing a crater (环形山) on the far side of the moon, discovered a mysterious, cube-like structure in November as it scanned the skyline. The unknown structure seemed to be located around 260 feet away from where the Rover crossed.
Our Space, associated with the Chinese National Space Administration which controls Yutu 2, first noted the object in a post on December 3rd; the story gave a nickname to the object “mystery hut”. Yutu 2 has since adjusted course to check out the cube, and will spend the next 2 to 3 lunar days investigating this mysterious moon feature.
The Yutu 2 Rover launched with China’s Chang’e 4 mission in 2018, and reached the moon in January 2019. The mission aimed to discover more about the far side of the moon, or as pop culture calls it, the “dark side” of the moon. Contrary to this nickname, the far side of the moon is not actually always dark, it just faces away from the Earth. The rover, solar powered, goes into a kind of hibernation (休眠) when the sun sets on the far side of the moon, and wakes up to work when the sun rises over the crater.
Yutu 2 has seen plenty of interesting moon features in its travels already, including a strange gel (胶状物) that turned out to be some rocks melted together, and some pieces that were likely to be from the impact of a meteor (流星). The Chang’e 4 mission has also brought forth some fascinating new discoveries like what could be pieces of the moon’s mantle (覆盖层).
Whatever this structure turns out to be, Yutu 2 will continue uncovering other secrets the “dark side” of the moon is holding.
28.What does “mystery hut” in paragraph 2 refer to?
A.Yutu 2 Rover. B.A cube-like structure.
C.A newly discovered crater. D.Chinese National Space Administration.
29.Why was Yutu 2 sent onto the moon?
A.To research into the dark side of the moon.
B.To explore the use of solar energy on the moon.
C.To take pictures of the sun from the far side of the moon.
D.To measure the distance between the earth and the moon.
30.What can we learn from the discoveries made by Yutu 2?
A.Sunshine cannot reach the far side of the moon.
B.The temperature on the moon is always changing.
C.Many rocky mountains rise on the surface of the moon.
D.The moon may have been crashed into by another planet.
31.In which section of a website may this text appear?
A.Health. B.Technology. C.Politics. D.Economy.

When it comes to work, workers, and jobs, much of the concern of the modern age boils down to the fear that we’re witnessing the final stage of the game, and that there will be nowhere for humans to withdraw (撤退) as machines take over the last few tasks. The most recent example comes from the use of artificial intelligence (AI). Is there no area of human experience that can’t be replaced by AI? And if not, what is left for humans to do except the tasks involved in taking care of the machines?
At the heart of this concern is our desire for good jobs — jobs that make the most of workers’ natural abilities and where the work provides the worker with motivation and work-life balance. More importantly, good jobs support workers in learning by doing — and, in so doing, deliver benefits on three levels: to the worker, who gains in personal development and job satisfaction; to the organization, which improves as employees find new problems to solve and opportunities to pursue; and to the community as a whole, which harvests the economic benefits of hosting positive organizations and workers. This is what makes good jobs productive for the organization, as well as engaging and fulfilling for the worker.
Does the ongoing advance of AI threaten to get rid of all the learning, creativity, and meaning that make a job a good job? Certainly, some have blamed technology for just such a result. Headlines today often express concern over technological innovation (革新) resulting in bad jobs for humans, or even the complete disappearance of certain professions. Some fear that further technology advancement in the workplace will result in jobs where employees are being asked to work in split times or for longer periods over more days.
The problem here isn’t the technology; rather, it’s the way the technology is used — and, more than that, the way people think about using it.
32.What is the passage mainly about?
A.How to take care of the AI machines.
B.The relations among work, workers, and jobs.
C.The human’s fears in the age of AI.
D.Human experiences were replaced by AI.
33.What jobs are supposed to be good according to the passage?
A.Those that mainly have the economic benefits.
B.The ones that offer chances to progress professionally.
C.Those that make full use of workers’ motivation.
D.The ones that don’t bring new problems to workers.
34.How do news media respond to the development of AI?
A.Negative. B.Supportive.
C.Objective. D.Indifferent.
35.What will the author probably talk about next?
A.The future jobs humans will do.
B.The possible application of AI in the future.
C.The ways that humans do jobs.
D.The proper attitude towards AI.

It seems that friendship can also exist between dogs and horses. I’ve witnessed one inspiring case.
One morning, I went outside to feed our horse Bullet. Usually, Bullet waits eagerly at the fence for his breakfast. But this morning he stayed near a tree in the pasture’s center. As he began joyfully walking toward me, I noticed a dog lying in the tall grass beneath the tree. So this was what held Bullet’s attention this morning: a homeless dog. Most of the homeless dogs shied away from our large Bullet, but this one seemed to feel safe in the shelter of the tall grass regardless of Bullet. I placed alfalfa cubes inside the fence. After Bullet ate them, I’d give him some cookies he loved most.
I walked back to my porch and sat down. As Bullet ate alfalfa, the dog stood up cautiously, stared at Bullet for long and then slowly walked toward Bullet. The dog often paused and looked at me to ensure I wasn’t a threat. As the dog drew closer to Bullet, I held my breath. I didn’t know how Bullet would react to an animal that approached while he was eating. Knowing a horse’s kick can kill a dog, I decided to scare the dog away. Just then Bullet swung his head and looked at the dog. Not minding it, he ate his food again.
The dog drew close enough to take an alfalfa cube. My heart broke as I watched the dog — a female — chewing on the alfalfa. She had to be extremely hungry to attempt to eat horse feed. I went inside the house, carried some meat and walked toward the fence. The dog soon ran to the safety of the tall grass near the tree. I put the meat down outside the fence and went back inside the house. She’d probably come for the meat when I was out of sight.
Minutes later, I realized I hadn’t yet given Bullet his cookies. I took some and went back outside. Amazingly, Bullet was lying down in the grass beneath the tree with the dog next to him. I smiled at the warm scene they created.
注意:1. 续写词数应为150左右;
2. 请按如下格式在答题卡的相应位置作答。
