Reading (I)
一、教学目标
1. 掌握本课时重点词汇及短语:
in the morning/afternoon/evening, first, each, other, each other, practise, have a time
2. 掌握本课时重点句型:
After class, we often chat with each other or play in the playground.
We practise after school on Wednesday afternoon.
We always have a good time at school.
- 通过读,获取Millie的学校学习活动和课后活动的信息。
- 培养学生热爱学校,积极参与学校活动的意识。
二、教学重点及难点
重点:指导学生通过读,获取Millie的学校学习活动和课后活动的信息。
难点:帮助学生记住并使用描述学校的名词和形容词来介绍自己的学校生活。
三、教学过程
Step 1 Warming-up
Let Ss brainstorm what they do at school and learn the new vocabulary, such as practising playing volleyball, chat with each other and have a good time.
【设计意图】由学生的日常学校生活引入本节课,与学生实际关联,在谈论学校做的事情时,自然引入新的词汇和表达法的学习。
Step 2 Pre-reading
Guide Ss to look at the pictures to learn the new words and phrases.
【设计意图】通过看图片说句子,帮助学生在语境中学习新单词,为完成阅读任务做准备。
Step 3 While-reading
1. Guide Ss to do fast reading to get the main idea of the email.
【设计意图】通过快速阅读帮助学生了解文章大意,在整体理解的基础上开展细节的学习。
2. Let Ss read and find out what Millie does at different times.
【设计意图】利用图片,引导学生提取细节信息,关注Mille一天的生活。
3. Guide Ss to mark True or False.
【设计意图】通过判断正误和段落信息匹配,帮助学生聚焦每一部分的内容。
4. Guide Ss to think and find out more details about the passage.
【设计意图】培养学生的逻辑思维能力,加深对文章的理解。
5. Have Ss to fill the table with the details from the passage.
【设计意图】提取文章框架信息,让学生完成写的任务。培养学生提取概括信息的能力,同时为下文的任务作铺垫。
Step 4 Post-reading
Set a context that Tommy’s friend Jack wants to know more about Millie to ask Ss to ask and answer.
Before starting, give a sample to help Ss who’re weak.
【设计意图】将所学内容,迁移到新的语境,提升学生的迁移的能力。为学生提供范例,有助于学生聚焦核心语言,同时,帮助学困生,减少焦虑影响参与。
Step 5 Summary
Help Ss sum up the key phrases and expressions.
【设计意图】培养学生梳理核心语言和表达的意识,学会积累和总结。
Step 6 Homework
1. Write an email to your close friend to tell him/her your school life.
2. Summarize what you’ve learned today.
【设计意图】将课上学习落实在笔头,迁移到学生自身,鼓励学生总结梳理,形成良好的学习习惯。
