Step1 Warming-up
Guide Ss to have a free talk.
(1) How many festivals do you know?
(2) What are they?
(3) How do people celebrate these festivals?

Step 2 Presentation
1. Guide Ss to think about how people celebrate festivals and learn the new words.
【设计意图】以图片和问题引导学生聚焦节日的庆祝方式,学习如何表达,将语言知识和文化知识有机融合,有助于培养学生的文化意识,提升语言,同时,帮助学生了解我国的传统节日,帮助学生建立文化自信。
2. Guide Ss to fill in the blanks.
【设计意图】通过记忆力大比拼,在句子层面的语境中使用节日名称,聚焦庆祝方式,内化知识。
3. Tell Ss that Millie is writing a list of festivals and ask them to look at the pictures and write the names of the festivals under the pictures. Next, let them read the names of the festivals again.
【设计意图】通过将图片与名称匹配,检测上一阶段的学习成果。
4. Guide Ss to look at the picture and answer the questions.
(1) What can you see in the picture?
(2) What are Eddie and Hobo doing?

5. Listen and answer the questions.

Step 3 Practice
1. Have Ss complete the short passage to retell the story about Hobo and Eddie.
