一、教学目标
- 掌握重点词汇:height, slimmer, worse, worst
- 掌握重点句型:
We use comparatives + than to compare two people or things.
We use the +superlatives to compare three or more people or things.
- 掌握形容词比较级和最高级的构成。
- 学会正确使用形容词最高级来比较三个或超过三个的人或物品。
二、教学重点及难点
重点:1. 引导学生归纳形容词比较级和最高级的构成规则。
2. 引导学生正确使用形容词的比较级和最高级进行比较。
难点:引导学生正确使用形容词的比较级和最高级在一定范围内进行比较。
三、教学过程
Task 1
Step 1 Warming-up
Show the pictures of Alice and Lucy, and ask Ss to fill in the blanks according to the pictures.
【设计意图】通过图片引出Alice和Lucy的相貌特征,为接下来的比较做准备。
Step 2 Presentation
- Ask Ss to compare Alice and Lucy by giving details in form.
Alice is shorter than Lucy. Lucy is taller than Alice.
Alice’s eyes are bigger than Lucy’s. Lucy’s eyes are smaller than Alice’s.
Alice’s hair is longer than Lucy’s. Lucy’s hair is shorter than Alice’s.
【设计意图】将热身活动中的人物进行比较,引出本课的语法重点——形容词的比较级。
2. Guide Ss to try to work out the rules of using comparative adjectives.
3. Guide Ss to work out the rules of forming comparative adjectives in short adjectives.
4. Guide Ss to work out the rule of forming comparative adjectives in long adjectives.
【设计意图】采用归纳教学法,引导学生自己发现形容词比较级构成的规则。
Step 3 Practice
Offer a form and ask Ss to change the adjectives into their comparative forms.
【设计意图】引导学生运用语法规则进行比较级构成的练习,及时巩固所学。
Task 2
Step 1 Presentation
- Show the pictures of the moon, the earth and the sun and ask Ss to compare them, then introduce the superlative adjectives.
【设计意图】在图片语境中,引出最高级,形象具体,学生直观感受清晰简洁。
- Guide Ss to conclude the rules of superlative adjectives, including the form rules and the sentence structure.
【设计意图】让学生自主发现规律,总结规律,并运用规律。
3. Show the pictures of polluted air and introduce the irregular forms of comparative and superlative adjectives.
【设计意图】通过图片形式,引出并总结形容词比较级和最高级的不规则变形。
Step 2 Practice
Ask Ss to read the class profile and fill in the blanks.
【设计意图】通过填空练习,巩固形容词最高级和比较级的用法。
Step 3 Production
Ask Ss to work in groups of four and fill in the table. Then make reports about their groups.

Summarize what they’ve learnt today.
Step 5 Homework
1. Read the words on P11 and remember the rules of comparative and superlative adjectives.
2. Write a short passage to introduce your family (try to use some comparative and superlative adjectives. in your passage).
3. Preview Integrated skills.
【设计意图】通过朗读和记忆,强化知识点;通过写作练习,促进学生对形容词比较等级的语用的理解。通过预习,为下节课的学习做好准备。
