一、教学目标
- 知道如何使用单词树记忆单词。
- 能够画单词树帮助记忆单词。
- 形成积极寻找策略助力学习的意识。
二、教学重点及难点
重点:引导学生学会利用词汇树来记忆单词。
难点:引导学生如何将单词分类,对学生的思维能力和知识储备有较高的要求。
三、教学过程
Step 1 Warming-up
- Show four figures of different professionals and guide Ss to use certain words to describe them according to the following questions.
(1) What’s he/she?
(2) What does he/she look like?
(3) What’s his/her feeling?
【设计意图】以问题为抓手,通过让学生简要地描述所给人物来复习前面所学的知识。同时引出下面活动的目标词汇。
- Give Ss one minute to remember the words on the blackboard. Then let Ss try to say the words as many as possible.
3. Guide Ss to discuss and share the following questions:
(1) How do you remember words in your daily study?
(2) Which way do you like best?
(3) Can you think of other ways?
【设计意图】让学生快速地记单词以及讨论关于记单词的相关问题,引出今天关于记单词的学习主题。
Step 2 Presentation
1. Guide Ss to put the words into different groups.
2. Guide Ss to write down the words on the leaves of each branch.
【设计意图】通过直观呈现制作词汇树的过程, 使学生形象具体地了解制作过程。
3. Guide Ss to summarize the steps of drawing a vocabulary tree.
【设计意图】引导学生总结词汇树的制作步骤,让学生明确每一步的任务。
Step 3 Practice
1.Guide Ss to think about how to group the given words.
【设计意图】引导学生思考如何将所给的词汇分类,锻炼学生概况总结的能力。
2. Guide Ss to put the given words into different groups.
【设计意图】引导学生根据词汇类别,将所给的单词进行分组,为接下来绘制词汇树做准备。
3. Guide Ss to draw a vocabulary tree to help them remember the vocabulary.
【设计意图】引导学生根据上面的词汇分类,来绘制一棵词汇树,使学生获得目标达成感。
Step 4 Production
Guide Ss to choose anything they like and draw a vocabulary tree, following the steps:
Step 1: Put the words into different groups.
Step 2: Draw a tree.
Step 3: Write the group names on the branches.
Step 4: Write down the words on the leaves of each branch.
【设计意图】引导学生根据所学,自己绘制一棵词汇树。让学生在实践中巩固此项技能。
Step 5 Summary
Summarize what they’ve learnt today.
Step 6 Homework
- Put the words in Unit 1 into different groups.
2. Try to draw a vocabulary tree.
3. Search the Internet and look for more ways to remember vocabulary.
【设计意图】通过实践巩固今日所学,上网搜索拓宽学生的学用渠道,发展学习策略。
