一、教学目标
1. 掌握本单元重点词汇及短语:itself, pull, rock, luckily, climber, keep the secret to oneself, look at each other, hurt oneself, enjoyed oneself, pull himself up the rocks
2. 掌握本单元重点句型:
The bus is as comfortable as those in the USA.
The Eiffel Tower is not as tall as the real one in France.
The model Sydney Opera House looks as wonderful as that in Australia.
Linda enjoyed herself in the park.
Linda’s parents will go and see the photos for themselves.
3. 能够在语境中正确使用“as…as” 和 “not as/so…as”进行比较。
4. 能够在语境中正确使用使用反身代词。
5. 使用反身代词、“as…as” 和 “not as/so…as”编故事。

重点:
1. 通过各种形式的练习帮助学生能够在语境中正确使用“as…as”和“not as/so…as”进行比较。

难点:指导学生使用反身代词、“as…as”和“not as/so…as”编故事。

Task 1
Step 1 Warming-up
1. Guide Ss to answer the question.
What model buildings are mentioned in the reading passage?
【设计意图】通过提问,引导学生回忆阅读文章中的相关信息,同时引出接下来语法内容的话题。
Step 2 Presentation
1. Guide Ss to compare the model Golden Gate Bridge and the real Golden Gate Bridge and complete the sentences and explain the usage of “as …as”and“not so…as”
【设计意图】通过图片对比及填空形式,引导学生初步感知同级比较的用法。
2. Guide Ss to compare the height of four people and complete the sentences.
3. Guide Ss to compare the weight of two boxes and complete the sentence.
4. Guide Ss to compare the height of two trees and complete the sentence.
【设计意图】通过更多图片对比及填空形式,加深学生对同级比较用法的理解。
5. Guide Ss to learn the usage of as...as… and not as...as.
【设计意图】引导学生学习总结平级比较的用法。
6. Guide Ss to pay attention to the following rule: as...as… and not as...as can only be used to compare things of the same kind.
【设计意图】 引导学生关注当我们对事物进行比较时,要注意比较的双方必须是同类事物。
Step 3 Practice
1. Guide Ss to compare the height, weight and English scores of six students and fill in the blanks.
2. Guide Ss to complete the sentences with as…as or not as…as.
【设计意图】通过提供课外练习和书上的练习,帮助学生时练习,内化语言,巩固学习效果。
Task 2
Step 1 Presentation
1. Ask Ss to think about the meaning of enjoy myself to guide them focus on reflexive pronouns.
【设计意图】通过复习琳达在信中的一句话,呈现反身代词的用法,引导学生关注反身代词。2. Guide Ss to learn the usage of reflexive pronouns and different forms by showing them a table.
【设计意图】利用表格讲解反身代词的用法和它的基本形式。
3. Guide Ss to learn some common phrases containing reflexive pronouns
【设计意图】利用表格归纳常用的含有反身代词的词组,帮助学生感知反身代词的用法。
Step 2 Practice
1. Guide Ss to complete the sentences with reflexive pronouns.
2. Guide Ss to look at the pictures and complete the sentences with the correct reflexive pronouns.
【设计意图】通过填空练习,带领学生练习反身单词的用法,达到内化语言的目的。
Step 3 Production
Get Ss to make a story using the sentences in Part A and B in Grammar and then ask them to share in group and in class.
【设计意图】通过将书上的两个练习整合设计,要求学生编故事,一训练了学生的语言,二对培养学生的想象力和整合语言的能力大有裨益,此外,培养了学生的逻辑思维和创新性思维。
Step 4 Summary
Summarize what they’ve learnt in this class.
Step 5 Homework
1. Review Grammar and make some sentences with (not) as … as and reflexive pronouns.

2. Preview Integrated skills.
