三、教学过程
Task 1
Step 1 Warming-up
1. Show some pictures to guide Ss to have a free talk.
【设计意图】自由讨论激活学生已知,争取引导学生多关注伟大人物的相关信息,学习他们的优秀品质。在师生自由交谈中引出生词,让学生在语境中感知生词,有助于他们更好地理解和掌握生词。
Step 2 Pre-listening
1. Show the picture of Marie Curie. Guide Ss to talk some information about her. Then ask Ss to learn new words.
2. Guide Ss to read Millie’s notes and learn more about her.
3. Guide Ss to read and fill in the blanks.
4. Guide Ss to read and answer some questions.
【设计意图】引导学生阅读并完成相关活动。帮助学生更好了解居里夫人的相关信息,为后面的听力活动做好准备,降低听力难度,培养学生根据阅读材料获取信息和处理信息的能力。
Step 3 While-listening
Guide Ss to listen and complete Part A1. While checking the answers, guide Ss to say the answers in completes sentences.

Step 4 Post-listening
- Discuss in groups
(1) Do you think she is a great scientist? Why or why not?
(2) What makes Marie Curie so famous?
(3) What can we learn from her?

1. Gide Ss to work in pairs and talk about the famous people they admire. They can use the conversation as a model.
