Unit 8 Detective storiesPeriod 3 Reading (II) 一、教学目标通过本课时学习，学生能够：1. 掌握并运用相关表达对案件进行描述。2. 对于描述案件时应注意的事项提出建议。二、教学重难点【重点】掌握并运用相关表达对案件进行描述。 【难点】对于描述案件时应注意的事项提出建议。三、教学活动设计环节一：创设问题情境，复习已知。（5 mins）教师引导学生完成词义选择、时间顺序排序、新闻要素匹配等练习活动，复习已知。教学活动1. Students look at the words and choose their correct meanings.2. Students recall the murder case and number the sentences.3. Students match the information of the murder case with the words in the box.活动层次应用实践之内化与运用效果评价通过观察学生的答题情况，了解学生对新词、阅读语篇内容、新闻要素的内化程度。环节设计意图：活跃课堂气氛，复习已学词汇，回忆阅读语篇内容，巩固对新闻要素的把握，为阅读环节作铺垫。环节二：阅读文章，完成阅读任务，在情境中学习语言点。（20 mins）教师引导学生阅读文章，获取细节信息，开展语言点学习。教学活动4. Students read the first paragraph and answer the question.5. Students read the second paragraph and answer the question.6. Students look at the pictures and talk about what they are doing at the scene of the crime. 7. Students read the third paragraph and answer the questions.8. Students read the fourth paragraph and complete the sentences.9. Students read from the fifth paragraph to the sixth paragraph and answer the question.10. Students summarize what words and phrases they can use to describe a crime case.活动层次应用实践之分析与判断效果评价通过观察学生的总结情况，了解他们对语篇及语言点的把握情况。环节设计意图:通过不同的阅读活动，培养学生梳理文章关键信息的能力，帮助学生在语境中理解及初步运用语言知识。环节三：在情境中运用所学知识，巩固练习。（4 mins）教师设置补全对话的练习活动，学生运用语言点，巩固所学。教学活动13. Students complete the conversation with the words and read out the conversation with their partners. 活动层次应用实践之内化与运用效果评价通过观察学生的作答情况，了解学生对语言点的内化情况。环节设计意图:通过引导学生进行练习，帮助其内化语言知识，为之后的语言输出活动作铺垫。环节四：绘制思维导图，运用本课语言知识复述案件。（6 mins）教师引导学生绘制思维导图，灵活运用本课学到的知识对新闻案件进行复述。教学活动14. Students draw a mind map and retell the case.活动层次应用实践之描述与阐释效果评价通过观察学生的思维导图、聆听学生的复述，了解学生对语篇的理解透彻度以及语言运用情况。环节设计意图:通过绘制思维导图建立支架，帮助学生掌握并运用相关表达对案件进行描述，内化目标语言。环节五：创设新情境，根据图片想象与描述。（5 mins）教学活动15. Students imagine another murder case according to the pictures and make description.活动层次迁移创新之想象与创造效果评价通过聆听学生的描述，了解学生的语言内化、运用情况。环节设计意图：训练学生在新的语境中创造性地运用目标语言。环节六：发散思考，与同伴讨论，培养细心品格、求真精神，提升人文关怀。（5 mins）教学活动16. Students think about the two questions and have a discussion in groups.活动层次迁移创新之批判与评价效果评价通过聆听学生的观点，了解学生的语言运用情况、求真意识与人文关怀意识的树立。环节设计意图：通过引导学生讨论案件报道中应涉及哪些信息、注意哪些事项，煅炼其口语表达能力，培养其求真精神和人文关怀。作业与拓展1. Refine your mind map and retell the case as detailed as possible. 2. Write down a short news article about the other murder case according to your imagination.3. Preview Grammar and try to explain what a defining relative clause is and what a relative pronoun is.
