As the saying goes, "One good turn deserves another." Liz's life was changed forever that year.It all started with her kindness towards two strangers. One early morning, they walked into the diner where she worked.
Tim and Paul stepped into the 130 Diner for breakfast after they fought a terrible fire for 12 hours. When they wanted to pay the meal, they were very surprised. The young waitress had paid their bill, leaving a sweet message on their bill instead, "Your meal is on me today.Thank you for serving people and running into the places everyone runs away from."
Touched, the two firefighters shared her kind action on social media and it spread quickly. And later they found out the true story of the waitress who had paid for their meal.Liz Woodward had been trying to make a living. Her father had a brain illness that left him paraplegic (瘫痪的).They decided to help the woman who had shown such kindness even if she was in trouble. They set up a campaign (运动) to raise $10,000 for a wheelchair-accessible car for her father. The donations, however, did not stop when the campaign ended.Having heard of her kindness,Mobility Ventures, which made the wheelchair-accessible cars, refused to take the money and gave the family one for free as a Christmas gift.

Instead of spending your spare time at work in the hope of making more money, maybe you should go to the sports center. That's because it could make you happy just like the money you made during this time.An interesting new study in The Lancet found that people who enjoy doing exercise have a greater sense of happiness than those who don't.
Researchers from Oxford and Yale Universities used data collected from more than 1.2 million Americans. They were asked, "How many times have you felt uncomfortable because of mental (心理的) problems in the past 30 days?" They were also asked about their exercise habits and were allowed to choose from 75 kinds of activities, including doing housework and childcare, running, weightlifting and cycling.
The researchers found that people who always exercise feel bad for about 35 days every year while the people doing little exercise feel bad for an additional (额外的) 18 days. From the study, people who exercised had 43 percent fewer days of poor mental health in the past month than people who did not exercise. All kinds of exercise can lead to a lower mental health burden (负担).
Social activities for exercising like team sports had an even more positive influence, although cycling was the most popular.Perhaps that's because it takes place outdoors, which is always a way for people to break away from stress.
It is possible to get too much exercise. The right amount (量) seems to be three to five times per week, lasting 30 to 60 minutes each. The key point should be that any amount helps,so don't force yourself to hit that perfect balance.

    C. working all day D. doing housework

It's a pity that deaf people,or those who have hearing problems, can't enjoy music. But now a vibrating (振动的) suit brings them hope—it can allow them to "feel" music through their skin, rather than hear it.
The special suit is able to translate music into some vibrating pulses (节拍).And the users can choose different levels.
Chase Burton,33,a deaf filmmaker from Texas, the US,has been testing out the suit for four years. He understands that a deaf person's experience with music is very different. "When I was a kid,I'd lie on the floor so I could feel the vibrations from my brother's music playing." Burton told CNN.
Now when he wears the vibrating suit,he says the sound hits different parts of his body. "Maybe it will shake me strongly in my knees first. And then I'll start to feel the vibrations in my back. And then I'll feel some pulsations." Burton said.
The designers tried to help deaf people to have a chance to attend a concert. In 2016,some prototype (样品) suits were tested at a Lady Gaga concert in the US.The suit was also tested at a different concert in Las Vegas in 2019.It was given to 150 audiences (听众) at the concert where half the audience members were deaf and half could hear.At the same time, the company has been improving the technology and planned to put it into the market soon. And the final goal of the company is to make the technology available to all.
"We truly think that anything that makes sound can also cause vibrating pulses." the company's talent and business development director,Jordan Richardson, told CNN.

    A. making them hear more clearly
    B. changing the temperature of the skin
    C. turning music into some vibrating pulses
    D. sending music to their ears easily and quickly
    28. Why does the writer mention Burton's experience? ______
    A. To introduce different ways people enjoy music.
    B. To tell how different it is for a deaf person to enjoy music.
    C. To show regret for not having the technology earlier.
    D. To call on designers to make better products for deaf people.
