Step 1 : Warming up

 Teacher shows some sounds of animals.  Then let students guess what kind of animals they are.(such as tiger, elephants…)

Step 2 :Revision

1.Present the words by showing the pictures of animals.

1.Read the words loudly

2.Look at the pictures and match the words with the animals.

3. Check the answers to the class.

Section A 1b Listening

1.Play the tape, ask students to listen

2.Play the tape again, let them listen to the tape carefully and check the animals you hear in 1a

Learn words of adj.

1.Show the pictures of cute. fun. lazy interesting. smart. beautiful and learn

2.Point to the picture of pandas and say “They are cute /fun/lazy...

Learn to make conversions

1.Show tigers to class and then present

A: Let’s see the tigers first.

B: Why do you want to see the tigers?

A: Because they are interesting

1.Julia and John are at the zoo. Listen to their conversations in 2a and write the animals you hear. 

Then match the animals with the description words and the countries.

Step 4 Activities

1.       Show pictures to students. Let`s them practice with their partners

2.Ask a few groups to act out their conversions to the class

3.Call No.1 of each groups come to blackboard and write their conversions on it
