第四部分 写作 (共两节,满分40分)
第一节(满分15分)
(One possible version)
Dear fellow students,
It’s a great honour for me to stand here and address my speech titled “My Favourite Painter”.
My favorite painter is Zhang Daqian, who is highly respected in the field of art in our country. He is a most legendary master of traditional Chinese painting, calligraphy, seal cutting, and poetry in the 20th century. He spent most of his life copying the style of Chinese painting, learning the characteristics and skills of Western painting, and then formed his own unique style, especially the successful landscape painting.
I expect you to come to China to appreciate his works personally. You will be struck by the paintings.
第二节 (满分25分)
(One possible version)
One day, however, Mary came with good news. She told Jane the school music festival was to be held the next month and that her classmates all expected her to sing on behalf of her class. Jane’s eyes sparkled but responded doubtfully, “Can I...?” Mary and I immediately assured her that she could make it. In the following month, with the help of Mary, Jane kept on practicing singing. Beautiful songs echoed in our house again and smiles began to appear on her face. Finally the big day came when she could present herself.
When the host announced it was Jane’s turn, she was wheeled onto the stage. Jane was greeted with warm applause. As she began to sing, the audience got absorbed in her beautiful voice. Seconds after her performance, all the audience rose with thunderous cheers. When wheeled off stage, Jane received praise and bunches of flowers from her teachers and classmates. Jane was moved to tears. The kindness and encouragement from her teachers and classmates stimulated Jane’s enthusiasm for life, making her regain confidence in pursuing her original dream, which I will support wholeheartedly.

英语听力原文

W: How about a picnic this weekend?
M: Oh, I have to study for the final exam most of the weekend, but I’m going out on Friday night.
W: Where are you going?
M: My friends and I are going to try that new Mexican restaurant on Branch Street.
(Text 2)
W: Have you heard about Ms. Jenkins? She’s leaving the school next week.
M: Yes. I was really sad, but I understand she wants to live closer to her old parents.
W: I thought she was bored of teaching and had changed her job. After all, she can speak four languages. She can travel everywhere.
(Text 3)
W: I’d like to book three tickets for the film tonight, please.
M: That’s fine. Can you collect them by 7 o’clock?
W: Yes, no problem.
(Text 4)
W: Excuse me, I’d like a cup of black coffee.
M: OK. You can read the books and magazines on that shelf before the coffee is served, madam.
W: That’s good.
(Text 5)
M: Does the car need to be filled?
W: Mary stopped at the gas station on her way home.
(Text 6)
W: Do you take your dog for a walk every day?
M: No, my father takes the dog for a walk every Monday, Tuesday and Sunday. And I take the dog for a walk every Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.
W: Who takes the dog on Saturday?
M: On Saturday we all go to the park and the dog comes with us.
W: Do you help with the housework?
M: My mom and my sister do the housework but I clean my room.
(Text 7)
W: Hi, Mike! It’s great to see you again! How’s it going?
M: Fine! I’m living in Boston, attending Harvard University.
W: Wow, so you’re still at university?
M: Yeah, I’m doing my Ph.D. I’s taking ages to finish and there is far too much to learn from the professors; kind of boring. How about you?
W: Well, I’m a sales manager at an American company. It’s pretty exciting.
M: I wish I were working like you already.
(Text 8)
W: Did you hear that Friday is Mr. Smith’s last day? He’s leaving the company and taking a trip around the world. He said it was always his dream to do some traveling.
M: Really? Why? He’s one of the most successful lawyers in the city. He has a bright future here.
W: Well, I guess he’s looking for a change. Anyway, we’re holding an office party on his last day to say goodbye and wish him good luck. It will be in the break room at 4:00 p.m.
M: I’ll be finishing up a meeting at that time, so I might be a little late, but I’ll be there.
(Text 9)
W: It’s a little cold today. But we can see the most beautiful view up here. Hey, what’s that mountain to the left called?
M: That’s Mount Karen. And to the right of that with the three small points is Mount Brown.
W: Is this the highest mountain in this area?
M: No, actually, Mount Heather, which we will be able to see in just a minute or so, is the highest. But, this is the highest mountain for the most popular activity skiing.
W: Can you ski throughout the year?
M: No, it may make you sunburned up there in the summer. So if you want to be up here in other seasons, you’d better choose a cool spring or autumn day. Oh, look, there are two deer feeding in the clearing right below us.
W: Got it. That should be a great photo. So … what is there to do besides skiing at the top of the hill at this time of year?
M: Oh, there’s plenty to do. We have horseback riding, snowmobile tours, and a petting zoo for children. If you look to your left you’ll see the snowmobile sign going through the mountain.
(Text 10)
W: Good afternoon and welcome to Seattle Houseboat Tours. My name’s Elizabeth Jones and I’m your guide today. This is my houseboat Moonlight. Before we go on board, I’d like to give you a little background information. Seattle has one of the largest numbers of houseboats in the U.S. — about 500 of them in fact. That’s quite a high number and shows how popular houseboat living is here. We’re at the southern end of Lake Union right now. As you have probably seen already, this is a lively area with restaurants and shops and cafes. During our one-hour tour you’ll see a number of houseboats. People can pay millions of dollars for the biggest of these. Some of them are quite amazing and have two or three floors. My own is one of the smallest boats, but I still have plenty of room, as you’ll see when I show you around. My living area includes one bedroom with a bathroom, a kitchen and a living room. I also have electricity, running water and network, so I really do have everything I need. You may be interested to know that I’m writing a book on the history of houseboats in the city, and this should be on sale from early July. Well, thank you for listening so far. Now let’s move into the boat and start the tour.
