Unit 5 When's your birthday? 【第一课时】【教学目标】I. 语言目标:1.词汇:能听懂、会说、认读新单词January, February, March, April, May, June, July, August及月份缩写形式和词组International Children's Day;能听、说、读、写单词May, month, year, birthday.2.句型:能用“When's your birthday?”及回答“My birthday is in...”、“It's on the ...of...”进行对话.II. 应用目标:1.能听懂、会说A部分的对话.2.能指认一月至八月的单词.3.能正确表达一月至八月中的具体日期.4.能借助图片和提示,简单了解中外重要的节日及其英语表达方式.【教学重难点】1.重点:能听懂、会说、认读一月至八月的单词.能用“When's your birthday?”及回答“My birthday is in...”、“It's on the…of...”进行交流.2.难点:新单词January, February的读音有一定难度;新单词一月至八月的正确排列顺序.【教学准备】日历一本, 新授单词用的图片、单词卡片,教学图片、教学音频等(有条件的学校可利用幻灯片、多媒体课件).【教学过程】I. 热身/复习 (Warm-up/ Revision)1.Greetings.2.Sing a song: What Day is Today?3.Free talk.T: What day is today?T: How many days are there in a week?Ss: Seven.T: What are they?Ss: Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday.II. 新课呈现 (Presentation)1.New words.(1)教师利用日历、图片或单词卡片教单词month, year.T: How many weeks are there in a month?S1: Four.教师板书以下内容:7 days = 1 week 4 weeks = 1 month 12 months = 1 year教师带读单词month, year.教师利用日历、图片或单词卡片教单词March, April, May.教师呈现一张表示四季的图片.T: Spring is warm and nice. Which months are in spring?教师翻开日历,呈现March, April和May的月份. March=Mar. April=Apr. May板书并带读单词March, April和May.(注意让学生听读、辨认、比较apple和April的读音.)(2)教师利用日历、图片或单词卡片教单词June, July, August.T: It's very hot in summer. Which months are in summer?教师翻开日历,呈现June, July和August的月份. June=Jun. July=Jul. August=Aug.板书并带读单词June, July和August.(注意让学生听读、 辨认、比较June和July的读音.)(3)教师利用日历、图片或单词卡片教January, February和词组International Children's Day. January=Jan. February = Feb. International Children's Day教师板书并带读词组International Children's Day.(4)Game1: Listen and do.游戏规则:以小组为单位,每个小组代表一个月份,听到相应的月份单词,迅速起立.Game 2: Watch and speak 看口型说单词.T: January/ February/...2.The dialogue.第一步:Listen and choose.要求学生不打开书,听录音前,给出任务:完成连线题.(1)Lingling's birthday. It's on the first of June.(2)Peter's birthday. It's on the fifth of March.(3)International Children's Day. It's on the fourth of May.(教师可以引导学生进行听前预测,听前的预测、推理和联想是提高学生听力水平的重要手段.)第二步:Listen and check要求学生打开书,听录音,核对答案.第三步:Listen and repeat听录音,跟读,引导学生正确模仿语音和语调.(1)学生分角色朗读.(2)学生分角色为视频对话配音.III. 趣味操练 (Practice)1.教师呈现几张学生喜欢的公众人物的照片,让学生猜照片中人物的生日月份(提供具体日期)T: When is …'s birthday?S1: It's on the...of...2.教师呈现不同节日的图片,学生两人一组,看图连线. Children's Day Women's Day Party Day Army Day Fool's Day Valentine's Day New Year's Day Labour Day3.教师提问,学生快速抢答.T: When is Children's Day/ Women's Day/...?S1: It's on the 1st of June/ the 8th of the March.【作业布置】1.听录音,读对话,并试着表演对话.2.制作一月至八月的单词卡片.3.收集一月至八月中的中外节日,并尝试用英语表达日期.常见的中外节日名称及日期:元旦:New Year's Day,1月1日情人节:Valentine's Day,2月14日妇女节:Women's Day,3月8日愚人节:Fool's Day,4月1日劳动节:Labour Day,5月1日母亲节:Mother's Day,5月第二个星期日儿童节:Children's Day,6月1日父亲节:Father's Day,6月第三个星期日建党节:Party Day,7月1日建军节:Army Day,8月1日教师节:Teachers' Day,9月10日国庆节:National Day,10月1日万圣节:Halloween,10月31日夜圣诞节:Christmas Day,12月25日复活节:Easter,春分月圆后的第一个星期日礼物节:Boxing Day,12月26日感恩节:Thanks-giving Day,11月的第四个星期四除夕:New Year's Eve,大年初一前一夜端午节:Dragon Boat Festival,农历五月初五元宵节:Lantern Festival,农历正月十五中秋节:Mid-autumn Festival,农历八月十五清明节:Ching Ming Festival,4月5日
