一、 教学目标
- 词汇:复习词汇an old woman,help the old people on the road,make tea,make cakes,clean their homes,make them happy,weak,slow,新授词汇:carry things,get on or off the bus
- 句型:能用“What can I do?”和“I can…”给老人提供帮助
- 能听懂PartC句型,并能做到role-play
4. 能表达自己可以提供哪些帮助,在小组合作中展示
二、 教学重、难点
1.重点:复习词汇an old woman,help the old people on the road,make tea,make cakes,clean their homes,make them happy,weak,slow,学习carry things 和get on or off the bus; 能用“What can I do?”和“I can…”提供帮助
2.难点:能正确理解“We can help them to clean their homes.”和“I can help them to get on or off the bus.”两个句子,并通过这些句子总结出help 的用法。

四、 教学过程
Step 1 Warm-up
- Greetings
T:Today we will begin with a song “Itsy Bisty Spider”.Please take out hands and put your right forefinger on your left thumb.Let’s do action with the song. Ready go!(播放课件音乐)
Step 2 Presentation
1、Review
T:First , I want you to see some pictures.Look at this picture(出示课件老人图):This is an...(ask students to answer ),用这种方法复习词汇an old man ,an old woman ,old people ,slow ,weak...
2、复习帮助老人的短语
T:Since they are old ,weak and slow.How could we help them?Please ask yourselves,”What can I do?”板书重点句型,并通过课件展示图片,让学生用“I can ...”来进行回答,教师根据学生的回答情况分组进行评价。(激发学生学习的积极性),最后通过游戏:I do ,you guess来进行巩固。
3、新授词汇carry things ,get on or off the bus
通过肢体动作,语音辨析,图片展示的方式进行教学,学生通过齐读、个别读正音、拼读、男女生读等多种形式进行巩固。巩固之后让学生自己说出与之有关的句型如I can help old people to carry things /get on or off the bus.
4、新授句型(出示课件)
学生到这里已经有一定的词汇基础,让学生先根据图片来说句子,教师领读,然后通过多种朗读方式来朗读,最后让学生试着背诵来巩固。
5、难点突破
教师展示刚学的三个短语
help them to carry things
help them to clean their houses
help them to get on or off the bus
让学生自己先总结出help 的用法,教师补充小结help sb (to )do sth
Step 3 Practice (Groupwork)
给出3~5分钟时间进行小组合作活动,然后展示。
给出提示:1、I can .... for them. 我能为他们做......
(make tea /make cakes /read a newspaper.)
2、I can help them to .......我能帮他们做......
(clean their houses/ carry things /get on or off the bus.)
3、I can sing to them.我可以为他们唱歌。
