 Unit 7 What can I do?

【第三课时】

【教学目标】

（一）语言目标:

1．词汇:巩固、运用已学过的词组an old man/woman, help the old people on the road, make tea, make cakes, clean their homes, make them happy等;谈论关爱老人的话题.

2．句型:能在语篇中灵活运用新句型“I can help .../ I would like to .../ I like to .../I am going to ...”谈论自己可以为老人做什么.

（二）应用目标:

1．能运用所学动词短语与句型构建语篇谈论关爱老人的话题.

2．能根据图片内容写出自己能帮老人做什么.

3．能理解chant,体会老人需要社会关爱.

【教学重难点】

重点:能掌握、运用学过的动词词组与句型;能综合运用这些词组和句型创设情境,谈论能为老人做什么.

难点:根据E部分图片内容,完成句子;能运用所学词组与句型构建语篇.

【教学准备】

单词卡片、课文录音等（有条件的学校可利用幻灯片、多媒体课件）.

【教学过程】

I. 热身/复习（Warm-up /Revision）

1．Greetings

2．Quick response

教师用课件快速闪现B部分短语,学生迅速读出.

3．Recite Part A

第一步:准备背诵,复习一分钟.

第二步:全班齐背.

第三步:播放课文动画,请几名学生给动画配音.

II. 新课呈现（Presentation）

1．Part E: Let's write

（1）Brainstorming

T: How can you be helpful at home? Give me some words. （板书helping,学生围绕这个问题发散性地给出单词或短语.）

（2）Free talk

教师询问学生在家能帮父母或爷爷奶奶做什么.

T: What can you do for your mother/father/…?

（3）Finish Part E

第一步:Look at the pictures and talk about them.

第二步:Complete the sentences.

第三步:Share your sentences.

4人一组,交流刚才写的句子,互相批改.

第四步:Make more sentences.

仿照E部分句型,写更多句子.

Teaching Tips:

让学生互相分享写的句子,学生可以得到更多的语言信息.而要学生互相批阅写得好的句子,而不是“改错”,更符合学习规律.

2．Part F: Let's have fun

（1）理解文本

T: Look at this picture. What can you see?

Ss: An old man and a girl.

T: What is the old man doing?

Ss: He is sitting.

T: Yes, he is sitting alone. Every day, he sits there alone.

（呈现第一句话,指导学生有感情地读.）

T: Are there any people with him?

Ss: No.

T: No one cares. No one comes near. His heart is cold, like a stone.

（呈现第二、三句,指导学生有感情地读.）

T: Here comes a little girl. She waves her hand to the old man and says “Hello”. How does the old man feel?

S: He feels happy.

T: Yes. He will have some happy tears when you simply say “Hello”.

（呈现最后一句,指导学生有感情地读.）

（2）Group work: 有感情地朗读chant,表演情境.

III. 趣味操练（Practice）

1．Act and guess

教师准备好几张卡片,上面写上家务活的短语,如make the bed, clean the room, water the flowers 等.请一组学生上台站成一列,第一名学生抽一张卡片,根据卡片上的短语做动作给下个学生看,依次把动作传递下去,最后一名学生说出短语,猜对的组获胜.

2．Game:句子接龙

用“I can ...”接一个动词造句接龙,后面一个造句的学生要先把前面的学生造的句子按顺序说一遍,然后再造新句子.

S1: I can swim.

S2: I can swim. I can run.

S3: I can swim. I can run. I can cook.

【作业布置】

1．听一听,读一读:听磁带,读F部分的chant.

2．写一写:用“I can ...”、“I would like to …”写一写你能为家人做些什么.

3．本单元知识拓展（Expansion）

Let's help the old

“老人受尊敬,是人类精神最美好的一种特权.”关爱老人是全世界都提倡的美德.许多孤寡老人需要我们的关心和帮助,我们可以参与义工组织去到敬老院（Nursing home/Home for aged）做一些力所能及的事情,如:tidy the books 整理书,mop the floor 拖地,scrub the floor 擦地板,sweep the floor 扫地,read a storybook 读故事书,clean the windows 擦窗,comb hair 梳头,make tea 倒茶wash the tomatoes 洗番茄,clean the cupboard清洁橱柜等.
