由第一段中“But being half the size f the ther bys, he culd nly sit n the bench and hardly ever played in games.”
由第二段中“When Jhn went t cllege, he decided t try ut fr the ftball team as a ‘walk-n'”. 所以判断出第二段中画线的短语“make the cut”可替换为be allwed t jin the team“被允许加入球队”。故选D。
由最后一段中“Well, yu knew my dad died, but did yu knw that my dad was blind?”及“Dad came t all my games, but tday was the first time he culd see me play”可知,约翰是一名临时球员,几乎没有上场的机会。

根据文章最后一段中的“If yu want mre cntrl ver yur life, all yu have t d is be respnsible.

根据第一段第四句中的“Mst f the peple shwn in these wrks are right-handed...”
根据第一段最后一句“Tday,nly abut 10% t 15% f the wrld's ppulatin is left-handed.”
根据第二段中“These findings shw that mre artists shuld be left-handed, and studies have fund that left-handedness is twice as cmmn amng artists as amng peple in ther jbs.”

36.答案与解析:C 前一句“Ging t the z is an all-time favrite activity fr children and families.(去动物园是儿童和家庭最喜欢的活动)”指出孩子们很喜欢去动物园,也即对动物园的支持,后一句“In rder t make a decisin, we must cnsider the arguments fr and against keeping wild animals in zs.(为了做出决定,我们必须考虑支持还是反对在动物园里饲养野生动物的观点)”说要考虑对动物园的支持和反对两种观点,因此中间一句必定要转折引出反对者,对应C项“然而有人反对把野生动物关在动物园”。
    39.答案与解析:E 上文“A lt f funds are needed t run a z. Mney is needed t stck the z with all kinds f animals.(经营一个动物园需要很多资金。

根据下文“ there is n time t wait fr full apprval r fill ut frms.”
49.答案与解析:C 根据上文“ there is n time t wait fr full apprval r fill ut frms.”
