展开Unit 3 How do you get to school?Teaching Design一、 Analysis of the teaching material(一) Status and function The main topic of Unit 3 is “talk about how to get to school”. In this unit, the Ss will learn to talk about the transportation. This topic is related to their daily life. So it can raise their learning interests and improve their spoken English.(二) Teaching aims and demands1. Language and Knowledge ObjectsIn this lesson, students learn to talk about how to get to someplace(take the bus /subway /train /taxi /ride a bike /walk ).To make students learn and grasp the structure “How do/does you/he/she get to school? " .2. Ability ObjectsIn this lesson, I’ll mainly train the Ss listening and speaking abilities and develop the Ss’ abilities of communication by learning the useful structures.3. Moral ObjectsTo enable students know that safety is very important, please obey the traffic rules. If you are afraid of speaking in front of the class, encourage yourself not to be shy. More practice, and you’ll feel more confident.二、Teaching keys and difficulties1. The special question of how do/does you/he/she get to school? 2. The expression of transportation. 三、Teaching methodsIn this lesson, I’ll mainly use the “task-based” teaching method, and it will be used in the whole lesson. I think it’s helpful to develop the Ss’ thought. I’ll also use “situation communicating” method. It can provide enough listening and speaking situations for Ss. I think good teaching methods are the keys to success.四、Guide of studying waysIn order to guide the Ss better, develop the Ss’ abilities, in this lesson, the Ss will learn how to be a good language learner , and how to communicate with others. It will be very helpful for their learning in the future. I think good studying ways can help the Ss to be good language learners.五、Teaching ProcedureStep 1 Warming-up (Look and Say)In order to form a better English surrounding for Ss, attract the Ss’ attention, I’ll begin my class with a group of pictures. Using these pictures to talk about the transportation.Step 2. PresentationAsk the students to do games (listen some sound of the transportation and guess what they are) Revise the old words and teach the new words.This activity can not only improve the Ss’ interest, but also can help the Ss grasp the name of the transportation. Step 3 Match the words with the pictures (1a)Ask the students to do it by themselves, and then check the answer. After do the warming-up above, this is easy for them.Step 4 Play a flashThis flash can help the students understand how to ask and answer.Step 5 Exercise and teachAsk some students to answer “How do you get to school?”Then show a fame to tell them the different expressions of transportation.Step 6 Listening practice (1b) and Pair workIn the last 5 steps, Ss have understood different expressions of transportation. In this step, I’ll play the tape, while the Ss listening, I’ll go around the classroom and help the Ss who have trouble in listening. It can not only help the Ss who have trouble in listening, but also help the teachers go closer to the Ss. I think the closer the teachers go to the Ss , the better the students will learn.亲其师,信其道。If necessary, I’ll play the tape again. Finally, check the answers. After listening the tape, I’ll ask several groups of students to act the dialogue by using the third person singular in front of the class.Step 7.Make a survey do exercisesAsk three or four classmates the following question, then report like this:Question: How do you get to school? Report: In my group … walks to school … takes the car to school, …goes to school by bus… and … ride their bikes to school. …Step 8 Summarytake+限定词(a/an/the/my/his)+交通工具(单数)“乘坐”take+交通工具复数take the car= take carseg:He takes the bus to school.
