    My name is Danielle. I′m in Grade 9 this year,and I'm president f the student cuncil at my schl.Mst junir high schls in Canada have a student cuncil. Members f the cuncils are chsen by students.
    Student cuncils wrk t make schls better places t learn. In the cuncil,we share ur ideas,interests and cncerns with teachers and thers. Smetimes,we plan schl­wide activities. In December,we decided t raise mney fr an rganizatin that prvides fd fr pr peple in ur city. Hw did we get the mney?
    We rganized a special basketball game in the schl gym. Lts f students and their parents came t watch. We sld tickets and,in the end,we made abut $300.
    During student cuncil meetings,we have t wrk tgether,but it′s nt always easy fr us t reach an agreement. The students are frm many different cultures. We have different religins,wear different clthes r speak different languages at hme. Smetimes there are serius disputes. Anyway,we are all friends,s we try hard t understand each ther.
    I think we shuld wrk tgether twards peace in ur schls and in the wrld. We need t learn abut different cuntries and make friends with peple frm ther cultures.
    Cycling is fun. But befre getting n a bicycle,yu shuld duble check the fllwing things: 1.Yu have a helmet. A helmet prtects yur head, which can get hurt in a bicycle accident. 2.The brakes wrk OK.N brakes,n cycling.
