设计说明

本课时学习变化的相关写作。教学时先从复习本单元功能句型used to入手，导入新课，然后让学生讨论自己的变化，为写作做好铺垫，帮助学生完成写作任务。通过self-check的练习，进一步巩固本单元重点词汇和句型。

教学目标

通过本课时的学习，让学生达成以下目标：

1.知识目标

单词：general, introduction

短语：in the last few years

重点句型：My life has changed a lot in the last few years.

2.能力目标

学会谈论过去的习惯和爱好，用对比的形式简单介绍今昔变化。

3.情感目标

引导学生感受成长带来的变化,学会客观评价自己,感受成长的魅力。

重点难点

1.重点:综合运用本单元所学习的语言知识进行写作, 描述与过去相比现在所发生的一些变化。

2.难点:将现在与过去进行对比, 描述自己或他人发生的一些变化。

Step 1　Lead-in

Work in pairs with the following words.

Step 2　Work on 3a

Write notes about how you have changed in your appearance, personality and hobbies. Then talk with a partner about your changes.

写作提示

Appearance: tall, short, fat, thin, young, old, straight hair, curly hair, long hair, short hair, of medium build...

Personality: outgoing, serious, funny, smart, friendly, shy, unfriendly...

Hobbies: enjoy reading cartoons/novels, like playing football/basketball...

For example:

A: Oh, Tom. You have changed so much. You used to be short, didn’t you?

B: Yeah, I used to be short and thin. But now I’m tall.

A: Did you use to be shy?

B: Yes. I used to be shy. But now I am outgoing.

How I’ve Changed!

My life has changed a lot in the last few years. I used to be overweight but I’m not anymore. I lost a lot of weight after I started playing tennis. Playing tennis three times a week is very good. Now I’m fitter and healthier.

The biggest change in my life was becoming much better in English. This thanks to my English teacher, Mrs. Wang, who gave me an interesting book to read. I enjoyed it so much that I started to read other books. This is the most important change because I am no longer afraid of the English language and I am doing better in my exams. This has made my parents even proud of me.
