设计说明 本课时学习有关产品与材料及产品产地的对话。教学时给学生展示一些卡片,引入话题What is/are …made of ?接着对该话题展开讨论,过渡到活动1a,从而进入教材的学习。然后由听力入手,进入活动1b—1c、2a—2c的学习。通过听对话、跟读对话、练习对话和听答活动,使学生理解对话内容。最后,阅读2d的内容,要求学生理解对话,解决问题。通过2d了解茶的种植、采摘及加工等知识。 教学目标 通过本课时的学习,让学生达成以下目标: 1. 知识目标: (1)单词:chopstick, coin, fork, blouse, silver, glass, cotton, steel, fair, grass, leaf, produce, widely, process (2)短语:be made of/from/in, as far as I know, by hand (3)句型:—Is it made of…? —Yes, and it was made in… —What is…made of/from? 2. 能力目标: (1)能听懂并谈论物品是由什么制成的以及是在哪儿生产的; (2)能就生活中的用品编写对话。 3. 情感目标: 了解中国的茶叶。 重点难点 1. 重点:(1)让学生能用英语描述及询问物品的制作材料; (2)初步使用一般现在时的被动语态。 2. 难点:让学生能理解被动语态的用法及句子结构。 教学准备 PPT课件,1b,2a,2b的录音 教学过程 Step 1 Lead-in 1. Show the students some pictures about products. 2. Have a conversation about what the products are made of : T: What’s the ring/… made of ? S: It is made of gold/… T: Is this…made of…? S: Yes, it is. / No, it isn’t. It’s made of… Step 2 Work on 1a What are these things usually made of? Match them with the materials. More than one answer is possible. Check the answers one by one. The answers are: 1. a, c 2. a, f 3. b, c 4. d 5. a, c 6. e Step 3 Pair work Go through the dialogues in 1a, and make dialogues according to the things in the form like the following. A: Hey, do you think …look(s)/is/are…? B: Hmm …yes/no, I think… look(s)/is/are…Is it/Are they made of…? A: Yes, it is. It was made in… /No, it isn’t. It’s made of… (或Yes, they are. They were made in…/No, they aren’t. They were made in…) Ask some pairs to present their conversations. Step 4 Listening Work on 1b. 1. Listen and match the products with what they are made of. Check the answers one by one. The answers are: shirts—cotton; chopsticks—steel; ring—silver 2. Listen again and match the products with where they were made. The answers are: shirts—cotton—America; chopsticks—steel—Korea; ring—silver—Thailand 3. Listen again and answer the questions. (1) How much did Susan pay for the three shirts? (2) What does Anita feel about the three shirts? (3) What are the shirts made of ? (4) Where were they made? (5) Where did Susan buy the chopsticks? (6) How does Anita like the chopsticks? Work on 2a.
