    设计说明
    本课时学习关于小镇怪声的相关阅读。教学时从两幅图入手,让学生推测发生了什么事,从而导入新课。然后通过完成不同的阅读任务,引导学生逐步理解课文;教授单元语法时,先让学生找出课文中的典句,让学生感知、体验,然后通过Grammar Focus中的句子进一步理解,进而归纳总结,再通过练习加以巩固。
    教学目标
    通过本课时的学习,让学生达成以下目标:
    1. 知识目标:
    (1)单词:noise, policeman (policemen), wolf, laboratory, coat, sleepy
    (2)短语:have no idea, have fun (in) doing sth., look like
    (3)句子:①“I think it was too big to be a dog,”she said.
    ②There must be something visiting the homes in our neighborhood...
    ③The noise-maker is having too much fun creating fear in the neighborhood.
    2. 能力目标:
    (1)学习情态动词表推测的用法;
    (2)阅读关于小镇怪声的文章,获取阅读信息,归纳主题。
    3. 情感目标:
    让学生根据已有事实推测可能性,培养其分析、判断、推理、发现等思维品质。
    重点难点
    1. 重点:巩固用情态动词推测物品归属的句型。
    2. 难点:运用开放性的语言及合理的想象分角色表演课文内容。

    Have a summary with the students.
    情态动词表推测
    可能性:must > can/could> may/might
    1. must表示肯定推测,意为“一定、准是”。
    He must know the answers. 他一定知道答案。
    2. can表示肯定推测,意为“可能”。 could 表示某事有可能发生或可能是事实。
    It can be her schoolbag. 这可能是她的书包。
    Can he know the answer? 他能知道答案吗?
    Don’t eat it. It could go bad. 不要吃它,它可能坏了。
    3. may, might 表示把握不大的推测,意为“可能,也许”。might不表示过去时态,语气更委婉,可能性更小。
    He may / might not be at home, but I’m not sure.
    他可能不在家,不过我也不确定。
    注意: 情态动词表示推测可以分为以下几种情况:
    ★情态动词+ do
    此结构表示对现在或将来情况的推测和判断。
    —Do you know where she is now?
    —I think she might travel in Beijing.
    ★情态动词+ be doing
    此结构表示对现在或将来正在进行的情况的推测和判断。
    At this moment, my father can’t be working in the office.
    ★情态动词+ have done
    此结构表示对过去情况的推测和判断。
    The road is wet. It must have rained last night.
    ★情态动词+ have been doing
    此结构表示对过去正在进行的情况的推测和判断。
    Your mother must have been looking for you at that moment.
