- Could you please tell me how to get to the bookstore?
- Sure, just go along Main Street until you pass Center Street.The bookstore is on your right, beside the bank.

1.Ask Ss to look at the picture and phrases in 1a, and then match each thing with a place in the picture . Tell Ss many different answers are possible.

1. Play the tape for Ss to listen and complete the conversations in the picture in 1a.

1. Ask Ss to make conversations using the information in 1a. Then work in pairs to talk about your own town/ city.

Work on 2c.
Ask Ss to work in pairs. Make their own conversations about the other places in the picture in 2a. Then call some pairs to present in class.
