    Mogao Caves are magnificent art treasures. Caves, or the Caves of the Thousand Buddhas(千佛洞), are located in Dunhuang, Gansu Province, on the ancient Silk Road. The murals (壁画)and Buddha figures (佛像)in these caves are world-famous. The area was listed as a world cultural heritage by UNESCO in 1987.
    Unfortunately, Mogao Caves is disappearing. How do people preserve them?

    观众可以用小型LED手电筒模拟火炬照亮壁画,这种交互设计方式让观众身临其境地感受到探索洞穴时的真实体验。作品的另外一个亮点是虚拟放大镜,可以让观看者通过可以放大细节并以超高分辨率观看壁画。
    画中的特定物体,被重建为浮出屏幕的三维模型动画。带着3D眼镜的观众可以看到真实立体的形象。
    这件作品一大特点是对壁画中宴会场景的真实复原,观众选中奏乐人物时,会出现乐器的模型动画与所奏音乐,选中舞蹈仕女时则会出现真人复原舞蹈表演,观众可以直观感受到千年前的艺术历史文化。
