一、教学目标
1. 复习本模块所学的重点单词和词组。
2. 复习英语句子的六种基本时态。
3. 通过学习“巨石阵”,引导学生认识更多世界奇观,并以“世界奇观”为主题制作一张海报。
4. 培养学生对大自然和人类文明的热爱之情。

难点:通过了解及介绍世界奇观,继续巩固时态的用法。

四、 教学过程
Step I Revision
1. Review the grammar: 初中英语的六大时态(一般现在时、一般过去时、现在进行时、过去进行时、现在完成时、一般将来时)
2. Do some grammar exercises and then check the answers together.
设计意图:通过复习本模块语法知识,再通过中考语法练习,帮助学生及时检测并巩固上节课所学的掌握情况,为新课做铺垫。
Step Ⅱ Practice
Activity 6
1. Ss look at the pictures about Louvre Museum and talk about them.
2. Ss complete the passage with the words in the box, and then check the answers in pairs.
设计意图:通过图片讨论有关卢浮宫的内容,再利用关键词完成短文,帮助学生理解掌握卢浮宫的相关知识。
Activity 7
1. T shows several pictures about the Great Pyramid, Mount Qomolangma and the Empire State
Building and asks Ss whether they know the names of those wonders of the world.
2. Ss listen and number the pictures and then check their guesses in pairs.
3. T checks the answer in the whole class.
Activity 8
1. Ss listen and complete the table.
2. T shows the answers on the screen.
设计意图:先让学生根据图片猜测世界奇观的名称,并要求在听录音的过程中核对自己的答案,更能帮助学生在听力过程中集中注意力。
Activity 9
T asks Ss to recollect the wonders of the world that they have learnt in this module, and then work in pairs and ask and answer questions about the wonders.
A: Where is…?
B: It’s…
A: How high is it?
B: It’s… metres high.
Around the world
1. Ss look at the picture of Stonehenge and talk about it.
2. Ss read and answer the questions.
(1) Where is Stonehenge?
(2) How old is it?
(3) Why did people build it?
(4) What is the mystery about it?
3. T checks the answers together.
设计意图:通过图片导入更加直观地向学生呈现了巨石阵的情景,再通过回答问题的方式,帮助学生加深对巨石阵的了解。
Step III Production
Module task:Making a poster about a wonder of the world
1. T asks Ss to show their photos to their partners and give their partners a general introduction of the wonders in the photos. The partners could ask some questions about the wonder.
(1) Why should people visit the wonder?
(2) What will people see there?
(3) How can people get there?
(4) How much does it cost to visit the wonder?
(5) When is the best time to visit the wonder?
2. T asks Ss to make their own posters about a wonder of the world.
3. T encourages several Ss to present their works in class.
设计意图:通过同桌相互合作,帮助学生深入进行有关世界奇观的讨论活动,锻炼学生的合作探究能力;再通过鼓励学生主动分享他们的成果,老师给与一些积极的评价并适当提出改进建议,可以更好地调动学生学习的主动性。

设计意图:带领学生梳理所学知识,方便学生课后巩固复习。
Step V Homework
1. Write something about the wonders of the world you have visited.
