Step Ⅰ Warm-up
Watch the video and answer the questions.
1. What is the video about?
2. What are three main forms of pollution?
设计意图:视频导入,播放有关污染的短片,导入本节课的主题。
Step II Pre-listening
Look and learn
Ask Ss to look at the pictures and learn some new words.
2. Ask Ss to read the new words in groups.
设计意图:通过图片学习单词,形象生动,方便理解记忆,并为下面的内容做准备。
Activity 1
1. Ask Ss to look at the words in the box. Discuss the meaning of the words.
2. Give Ss a minute or two to look at the pictures and think of things to say about them, using the words in the box.
3. Put Ss in pairs to talk about the pictures.
设计意图:以图片的呈现环保问题,以活动1词汇为支撑,让学生根据图片的内容进行描述。通过这个活动既巩固了词汇,也帮助学生拓展了环保主题思路。

1. Listen and answer.
(1) What is the great enemy in the future?
(2) What happens to people?
(3) What’s a green school?
T asks Ss to listen the passage carefully and find the answers, then check the answers as a class.

Tell Ss to cover the conversation, read the notes and complete them from memory.

Step IV Post-listening
Activity 4
1. Tell Ss to find the words in the conversation and tell you the meaning. Ask them to tell you which of the words doesn’t usually change form.
2. Ask Ss to complete the passage with the correct form of the words.

1. Remind Ss about word link in English.
2. Ask Ss to read the sentences and guess where the speaker will link words.
3. Listen and check the words they have linked.
4. Compare answers as a class.
设计意图:继续学习巩固句子的连读,为听力和口语打好基础。
Activity 6
1. Tell Ss to look at the photo. Elicit what they can see.
2. Remind Ss of the words in the boxes in Activities 1 and 4, then put Ss in pairs to talk about the photo and say what should be done.
3. Ask Ss to write down their ideas when they have finished discussing the problem.
4. Compare ideas as a class.
