From authors Henry Kissinger, Eric Schmidt and Daniel Huttenlocher, The Age of Aland Our Human Future is an exploration about how artificial intelligence(AI) is changing our world and how it may someday change human beings
AI will affect everything from the way we make discoveries to the way wars are conducted, the authors predict. It has already beaten the world's greatest chess players, andit won't be long before Al algorithms(算法)become the safest drivers on the road, thesharpest medical experts or the most professional artists and writers
However, the authors say, if uncontrolled, Al also poses dangers to society: producingunreal speeches or videos of events that never happened, Al-driven wars flowing into the civilian fields, or, most disturbingly, a future where the most important decisions about thefuture of the world are not made by humans
The Age of AI and Our Human Future is full of explanations, predictions, opinions andfears about Al and the language in it is difficult and, at times, repetitive. Although the difficult words and repetitive statements might be the biggest barrier to getting through thisbook, I'm excited to develop a deeper understanding of the subject of Al from this book. It isthe thought-provoking(发人深省的)points made by the authors that regularly have made mefall into reflection. The authors do a great job in making the readers realize the importance ofAl and the need for discussing it.
At its core, this book is meant to start a conversation-perhaps what will soon be "the"conversation. An Al-driven era seems to approach, This is a subject everyone needs to take time to be familiar with—the sooner, the better. For that, one needs to read The Age of Al andDo Human Future.

B.The lack of explanations
C.The authors' extreme opinions
D.The difficult words and repetitive statements
34.What's the attitude of the text's author toward the book?
A.CriticalB.PositiveC.UncaringD.Doubtful
35. What is the text?
A.A biographyB. A science report, C.A diary entryD.A book review

"I'm sorry,Liss, but Debbie and I are going to move back into the house. You're goingto have to find another place to live."
I couldn't believe what Neil,my landlord(房东),was telling me on that warm Aprilnight. I had tears in my eyes, and so did he. I had lived in his Staten Island house for morethan twelve years.
Neil had never raised my rent, which was $750 a month, very cheap for New York City. This was a big comfort when I was laid off from my newspaper job and couldn't find any workfor two years. He promised me that I would always have a home, even if I had a hard timepaying the rent. But now. I was going to have to find a new apartment and pay more.
Although he gave me six months to find a new place, I was still astonished and worried. So I called Jon, my best friend, to complain about my bad experience. But Jon surprised andannoyed me.
"Look on the bright side," he said."Maybe you will find a place you like better. Do youremember you complained all the time about the crowded bus to and from the house? Whydon't you find a place where you don't have to take that bus?"
"How can you say that?" I shouted at him."This is way out of my comfort zone!"
"Come on,Liss. Did it ever occur to you that change could be good?" Jon said.
"No!"I screamed and hung up on him.
I felt upset for the next few days about our argument, But what if Jon was right? Whydid I assume that every change would be bad? Maybe my life needed to be shaken up.
That summer, as I started looking for apartments, I began to think about new possibilitiesMaybe I could find an apartment with better furniture.
