    教学目标

    Knowledge objectives

    ①Key vocabulary:

    beat, careless, cheer...on, coach, fan club, against, train, practice, warm, warm up, usual, better, pleased, pass, pity, chance, loudly

    ②Key sentences:

    I am not going for lessons, but to play football.

    We all arrive as early as we can so that we have time to warm up.

    Our coach is pleased because we are playing better as a team now.

    They cheer us on loudly and we feel more confident to win the game.

    Ability objectives

    ①Be able to understand the text on sports and its main idea.

    ②Be able to use vocabulary and phrases correctly in this unit.

    Emotional objectives

    ①Let students actively participate in communicative activities and speak English boldly.

    ②Let students cultivate their interest in sports and let them know the importance of doing sports.

    教学重点

    Students can describe the form of the comparative degree of adjectives and adverbs.

    教学难点

    Students can use imperative sentences.

    教学准备

    Teacher preparation: multimedia courseware, textbook recordings

    Student Preparation: Pre-class preparation

    教学过程

    1.Lead-in

    ①Teacher asks students to watch the video.

    Ask students to answer the questions.

    Students talk with their partners and teacher checks the answer.

    2.Presentation

    Task 1 New words

    Show some pictures about the new words.

    ②Teacher organizes the students to read the new words together.

    ③Teacher picks a few students to read the words.

    Task 2 Reading

    ①Ask students to work in pairs and talk about the pictures.

    Play the tape and ask students to scan the passage.

    Ask students to skim the passage and complete the table.

    Guide the students to listen to the tape again.

    Ask students to complete the passage with the words in the box.

    Ask students to put the words in the box into pairs with opposite meanings.

    Organize the students to check the answers in the whole class.

    Task 3 Notes

    ①Organize students to come to the blackboard and show out some difficult language points that they found.

    ②Teacher explains the language points.

    Task 4 Sentences

    ①Teacher shows the important sentences.

    ②Ask the students to read through the sentences.

    Task 5 Writing

    ①Ask students to complete the sentences according to their situation.

    Let some students show their answers.

    3.Practice

    Ask students to finish the practice.
