    You must say Mr or Mrs when you meet someone for the first time.
    You can take it away.
    You mustnt break anything.

    Ability objectives

    ①Be able to summarize and consolidate the use of must, mustnt, need, neednt, can, cant, talking about customs and social behaviors;

    ②Be able to use vocabulary and phrases correctly in this unit.

    Emotional objectives

    ①Let students actively participate in communicative activities and speak English boldly.

    Make students learn about the traditional life and how to respect the traditional life in other countries.

    教学重点

    Students can learn to use the modal verbs.

    教学难点

    Students can master the use of must/can/need.

    教学准备

    Teacher preparation: multimedia courseware, textbook recordings

    Student Preparation: Pre-class preparation

    教学过程

    1.Lead-in

    ①Teacher asks students to watch the video and make sentences with the modal verbs mentioned in the video.

    Ask some students to say the sentences.

    2.Presentation

    Task 1 Grammar

    Teachers asks some students to summarize the grammar in this module.

    Teacher reviews and consolidates the grammar in this module.

    Task 2 Exercises

    ①Ask students to complete the conversations with can or cant.

    ②Ask students to complete the sentences with must or must not.

    Ask students to underline the correct words.

    Organize the students to check the answers in the whole class.

    Ask students to listen to a teenager talking about his life. Check() the things he must or mustnt do.

    Ask students to listen again and say the two things he says he can do.

    Ask students to write some things they can, must and must not do at home.

    Ask students to complete the sentences with the words or expressions in the box.

    Ask students to play a game. Choose a word or an expression from the box and describe it to the class. The class guesses what it is.

    Organize the students to check the answers in the whole class.

    Task 3 Notes

    ①Organize students to come to the blackboard and show out some difficult language points that they found.

    ②Teacher explains the language points.

    Task 4 Module task

    ①Ask students to write some advice for foreign visitors to a Chinese family.

    ②Ask some students to show the advice.

    3.Practice

    Ask students to finish the practice.

    This lesson type is revision and application. According to the requirements of the new curriculum standard, it mainly adopts task-based interactive teaching to open students' thinking. Through a series of organized teaching activities, it guides students to independently explore learning and interact with others in cooperative learning, so that students can experience pleasant learning.
