教学目标： At the end of the class, the students will be able to: learn the sentence patterns about future intentions by listening to the New Year’s resolutions: What are you going to do next year? I’m going to… How are you going to do …? 2. learn to make New Year’s resolutions.
教学重点： 1. Key vocabulary: resolution, team, foreign... New Year's resolutions, learn to play the piano, make the soccer team, get good grades, get lots of exercise, learn another foreign language... 2. Key sentences: a. What are you going to do next year? b. I’m going to learn to play the piano. c. I’m going to study hard and get good grades. d. How are they going to do it?

Step 1 Warming-up (PPT 3-10)		1. Look at the pictures and make the resolutions. 2. Talk about them with be going to be/do. 3. Have a brainstorm about new year’s resolution and say something about them. 4. Talk about new year’s resolution with your partners.				通过图片学习运用be going to be/do制作新年计划，导入1a。
Step 2 Presentation (PPT 11-12)		Work on 1a,1b. 1. Point to the resolutions and ask different Ss to explain what each one means in their own words. 2. Point out the box next to each picture and ask Ss to read the phrases. 3.Ask Ss to match the pictures with the New Year’s resolutions. Number the pictures [1-5]. 4. Check answers in class. 5. Ask two Ss to read the sample conversation to the class. 6. Then ask Ss to work in pairs to have a conversation. 7. Ask several pairs to say their conversations to the class.				学生通过观看图片及新年决心，连线并排序，为下面听力做铺垫。
Step 3 Listening (PPT 13-14)		Work on 1c,1d. 1. Read the instructions and point out the phrases in the list in Activity 1a. 2. Play the recording. Ss listen and circle the phrases on the list in Activity 1a they hear. 3. Check the answers. 4. Play the recording. Ask Ss to write their answers on the blank lines after each person's name. 5. Ask three Ss to write one answer each on the board. 6. Check the answers and read them together.				在听1c和1d之后，让学生多读这些句子，熟练运用be going to结构表达新年决心的句子。
