Unit 1 How can we become good learners?
一、单元教材分析:
本单元围绕学习的话题,讲述了学习的障碍及对应的解决方法,对学生的学习有重要意义。
Section A内容上侧重英语学习的方法,学生要学习、训练相关的语言内容和技能。学生要重点掌握并能熟练、正确地运用与学习主题相关的单词和各种表达学习方法的短语、功能及句型结构How do you study/learn…?I study/learn…by…How can I…?You can…by…;以及学会用“by+v.-ing形式”结构来表达方式方法。
Section B在Section A谈论英语学习的基础上,在话题上,从英语的学习困难及解决方案,拓展到优秀学习者的学习习惯;在语言上,巩固和丰富了与学习相关的话题词汇;在技能上,将听、说能力综合,突出阅读训练,由读促写;在策略上,引导学生关注优秀学生的学习方式,并借鉴运用;在情感上,鼓励学生面对困难,积极探索解决方案,不断改进学习方法,提高学习效率。

三、单元教学过程与方法
在课堂上引导学生掌握知识点的细节,为学生标记重点知识,并对学生之前学到的相关的知识点进行回顾和强调。
四、情感态度与价值观
了解国外的文化背景,培养阅读的兴趣爱好,掌握严密的英语逻辑思维。
五、单元重点和难点:
1、学会运用how来询问做事方式 。
2、学会运用by + doing的结构表达做事方式。by 介词,表示“通过……方法或途径”,译成“靠、通过”。by后面可以加名词或动名词短语。
3、动名词的构成:动词后加动名词doing,相当于名词,在句子中可以做主语、宾语、表语定语等。
六、单元考试重点及知识拓展:
(一)、介词by的用法:
1. by表示方式、方法或手段,后接名词或动名词,意为“使用某物;靠;乘(车、船)等”。 如:
Do you learn English by reading aloud?你通过大声朗读来学习英语吗?
I often go to school by bike.我经常骑自行车去上学。
2. by表示时间,意为“到……时(为止);在……以前、不迟于”。如:
I have to go to bed by ten o'clock.我必须10点前睡觉。
Can you finish your work by nine o'clock?你能在9点前完成你的工作吗?
3. by表示地点、位置,意为“靠近;在……旁边”。如:
The boy often reads books by the river.这个男孩经常在河边读书。
4. by表示移动的方向,意为“从……旁边过”。如:
He walked by me without speaking.他从我旁边经过,没有说话。
5. by表示根据,意为“按照”。 如:
What time is it by your watch?你的手表几点了?
6. by表示被抓着,被接触身体的某一部分。如:
She took me by the hand.她拉着我的手
(二)、动名词的用法:
动名词在句中作宾语时,一般放在某一及物动词或介词之后充当这一动词或介词的宾语。
(1) 后接动名词作宾语的及物动词有:
finish,enjoy,keep,stand(忍受),suggest,advise,practice,allow,mind,imagine 等。 如:
The tourists enjoy staying in Kunming all the year round.
游客们喜欢一整年都待在昆明。
Do you mind opening the window?你介意开一下窗户吗?
(2) 动名词作介词的宾语,包括以介词结尾的动词短语,如:
give up,take part in,be good at等。如:
I know you are good at drawing pictures.我知道你擅长画画。
Many young people took part in planting trees on Tree Planting Day.
很多年轻人在植树节那天参加植树活动。
(三)like作介词的用法:
1. like作介词时意为“像(如同)……一样;如……般的”,后面一般都接sb.或者sth.或者是动名词(即doing sth.)。
如:It's not like you to take offense. 你不像会发脾气的人。
He lived like royalty. 他过着帝王般的生活。
I felt like running away. 我想要逃跑。
2. “系动词+like”意为“像……一样;跟……一样”。
相关搭配:be like/look like 后接名词或代词作宾语。
如:What is he like? 他是怎么样的一个人?
The little girl looks like her father. 那个小姑娘看起来像她的父亲。
3. (询问意见)……怎么样
如:What's it like studying in Spain?
在西班牙念书怎么样?
(四)副词also/too/either/as well用法归类:
均可表示“也”,其区分如下:
1. also常置于句中,常用于词组:not only... but also... 不仅……而且……,其连接主语时遵循“就近原则”;
例:I am eight years old. My friend Tom is also eight years old.
我八岁了。我的朋友Tom也是八岁。
Not only my father but also I want to buy this coat for my mother.
我和我爸都想给我妈妈买这件外套。
2.too常置于句末,可用逗号隔开;
例:I want to buy this book, too.
我也想买这本书。
3.either常置于否定句句末,可用逗号隔开;
例:I don't want to go shopping alone, either.
我也不想独自逛街。
4.as well常置于句末。
例:I will go to the library this afternoon as well.
我今天下午也去图书馆。
