1.播放歌曲:Happy New Year.
2.教师出示有关春节的词组:如: Visit our relatives, wear new clothes, eat jiaozi, buy flowers, clean the home, set off fireworks…帮助学生快速回忆上节课内容.
3.Free talk: T: What do you usually do at the Spring Festival?
Ⅱ.Presentation
1.出示文本图片1: T: What are they talking about? (引出last Spring Festival)
2.Watch and answer: Did Li Ming go to grandparents' house? Why? (No, he didn't. His grandparents came to his house.)
3.教师问同学们还想知道哪些有关李明去年过春节的事,小组讨论,提出问题,如: "Did he have a big dinner? Did he eat jiaozi? Did he set off fireworks?"…引导学生通过自己阅读找出答案.

在本课时,学生通过看看,说说,演演,做做,游戏等途径提高了合作学习的能力,口语交际能力,基本掌握本节课重点单词.
1.教师出示有关春节的词组以,图片的形式呈现显得更加直观,体现了直观教学的教学方法,使学生从感官上对单词进行记忆.
2.爱模仿是小学生的天性,通过小小配音员,模仿画面上的人物的表情和动作表演对话,既加深了对对话的理解,又提高了他们学习英语的兴趣.总之,游戏和活动在教学过程中启发,引导学生思维,培养不同层次的学生大胆用英语交际的能力.但是由于本节课教学任务较多,在课堂时间和活动安排上还得需稍加改进.
