Unit 4 Christmas第1课时Lesson 19 Christmas Is Coming!
1.能够正确听、说、认读Santa,Christmas,light,gift,Western holiday,bring等词以及运用这些词。2.能够运用情景创设法、任务驱动法、自主合作探究法、以旧带新法和多媒体技术直观地展示有关圣诞节的内容,以达到让学生自然交流的目的。3.通过情景创设,让学生能够以“圣诞节即将来临”为话题,了解圣诞节的文化和过圣诞节所需的物品,培养学生喜欢节日,热爱生活的美好情感。激发学生学习英语的愿望并乐于运用英语交流。
重点了解圣诞节的文化和过圣诞节所需的物品。难点能够理解Christmas Is Coming中的Is Coming(现在进行时)表示一般将来时的用法。
Step 1 Warming up1.Listen and try to sing the song Jingle Bells with music.听并跟唱歌曲。利用课前热身的环节,让学生听并跟唱歌曲《Jingle Bells》,感受圣诞节的气息和氛围,从而快速进入本课的学习中。2.Free talk.T:How are you?Nice to meet you.Do you know Christmas?How do you like it?Ss talk with each other freely.3.创设情景。播放“出彩中国人”的片头。T:Do you know it?Ss:“出彩中国人”!T:Yes!Today in our class,we'll choose“出彩小团队”.You have four barriers to pass.First:“预习出彩”Second:“听力出彩”Third:“表演出彩”Fourth:“练习出彩”Step 2 Presentation1.学习Part 1。(1)“预习出彩”T:Let's finish the preview work.学生以小组为单位进行预习,在每个小组内,会的同学教不会的同学,最后达到每个孩子在同伴的帮助下,会读这些词,有些孩子还可以说出这些词的用法、记法,以及和其它词的区分。如:bring =b+ring(圆环)Santa=San+ ta (用拼音来记)light(可以从right引出)最后以小组为单位来展示,选出“预习出彩”的小组。(2)“听力出彩”T:Just now you have done a good job,then let's pass the second barrier.①听录音,完成探究学习中第一题。完成后核对答案。②听录音,完成探究学习中第二题。完成后核对答案。最后以小组为单位来展示,选出“听力出彩”的小组。(3)“表演出彩”T:Then let's pass the third barrier.以小组为单位对课文内容进行自编对话,可以以课文为基础进行改编,然后进行表演。A:Christmas is coming.Do you love it?B:Yes.I do.A:Do you know Santa?B:Yes.I love him very much.He brings us many gifts.A:What do people prepare for Christmas?B:We prepare trees and gifts…最后以小组为单位来展示,选出“表演出彩”的小组。小组内的表演活动,给学生搭建了展示的舞台,给学生一个开口说英语的机会,并提高了小组的协作能力。2.学习Part 2。(1)Read the sentences.①What is Christmas?②When is Christmas?③Who is Santa?④Do people give gifts to their family on Christmas?⑤Do people work on Christmas?⑥What colour are Santa's clothes?A.Yes,they do.B.No,they don't.C.It's December 25!D.A merry man in red clothes.E.Red.F.It's a Western holiday.(2)Match.(3)Translate the sentences,then read them.Step 3 PracticeT:We have the last barrier.1.再次阅读本课Part 1,完成课堂检测中第一题。完成后核对答案。2.然后完成课堂检测中第二题。完成后核对答案。最后以小组为单位来展示,选出“练习出彩”的小组综合上述竞赛,选出“出彩小团队”。Step 4 Consolidation小组内调查圣诞节所需的物品,完成探究学习中第三题的调查表。What do people prepare for Christmas?Step 5 Summing up & Homework1.Summing up.(1)Words:Santa,Christmas,light,gift,bring…(2)Phrases & Sentences:Western holiday,Christmas trees,bring…for…,have fun这节课我的收获是:___________________________________________________________这节课我的不足是:___________________________________________________________2.Homework.(1)Listen and read Part 1.听录音,朗读本课的第一部分。(2)Finish the relevant exercises.完成课堂检测中的相关习题。
