However, it will not cost as much as going by train.What’s the cheapest way to travel from London to Paris?The cheapest way is by coach.3. 能够读懂描述旅行中各种交通方式的不同点的文章,辨别其中的利与弊。4. 能够运用目标语言对各种旅行方式进行对比,描述其差异及利弊,并阐述理由。5. 能够运用形容词和副词的最高级来谈论并比较旅行方式和交通工具。6. 通过了解英语国家有关旅游和交通等方面的信息,并将之与自己的日常生活联系起来,拓展视野,激发学习英语的兴趣。二、教学重点及难点重点:1. 掌握本课重点单词、短语和句型。2. 掌握形容词和副词的最高级来谈论并比较旅行方式和交通工具。难点:掌握并运用目标语言对各种旅行方式进行对比,描述其差异及利弊,并阐述理由。三、教学准备1. 多媒体设备和课件;2. 设计课后巩固练习;3. 教学图片。四、教学过程Step 1 Warming-upFree talkT: How can you get to Beijing? Read the words in the left column, and then match them with the Chinese meanings in the right column. 2. Check the answers together, and then ask Ss to read the words twice. 【设计意图】学习新词汇,为下面的学习奠定基础。3. Ask Ss to work in pairs and talk about the ways to go to a city that they like to visit.【设计意图】本活动的目的在于激活话题。对几个问题的连续讨论便于学生在阅读课文前就明确本单元文章的主旨,作好主题及语言上的准备。Step 3 While-reading1. Read the passage and number the ways of travelling from the most expensive to the least expensive.【设计意图】训练学生快速把握课文信息的能力,学会找到关键词。2. T asks Ss to read“Question”part and complete the sentences. 3. T asks Ss to read“Best answer” part and choose the correct answer.4. Ss read the passage and complete the table.【设计意图】训练学生对细节信息的理解及提取主要信息的能力。Step 4 Post-reading1. Fill in the blanks and retell the passage.【设计意图】通过复述文章提高学生的口语表达能力。2. Learn the language points.(1) I’m planning to travel from London to Amsterdam. 我正打算从伦敦到阿姆斯特丹旅行一趟。(2) The more information, the better. 信息越多越好。(4) Book your ticket before you book your hotel. 预订旅馆之前先订好票。(5) Remember that parking in Amsterdam is very expensive, so stay outside the city center and travel in by bus or by train. 记住,在阿姆斯特丹停车是很贵,因此住在市中心外面,坐公共汽车或火车去里面旅行。(6) However, it will not cost as much as going by train. 然而,它不像乘坐火车那样花费这么多。【设计意图】帮助学生掌握本课语言点。3.
