一、教学目标
1. 能掌握本单元的词汇:twice, once or twice, suddenly, pink, pocket, field, think about, deep, while, dry
2. 重点句型:
(1) She found that she was falling down a very, very deep hole.
(2) While she was falling, she was thinking about her cat, Dinah.
3. 能够读懂《爱丽丝漫游奇境记》部分经典的一段情节
4. 能够续写爱丽丝找到钥匙之后的故事,培养学生的想象力。
5. 能够与故事中的人物共情,在欣赏故事的同时培养移情能力
二、教学重点及难点
重点:能读懂包含过去进行时的童话故事,掌握故事的大致情节,主要人物和事件的先后顺序。
难点:能够询问、介绍过去某个时间正在发生的事情和行为。

1. 多媒体设备和课件;
2. 设计课后巩固练习;
3. 教学图片。
四、教学过程
Step 1 Warming-up
Look and say
1. T shows some scenes of the story we have learned in Unit 1, then asks Ss to work in pairs to ask and answer as follows:
A: What was / were + 主语 + doing?
B: 主语+ was / were +动词的现在分词 +其他.
2. Encourage some pairs to share their conversations.
【设计意图】通过两人一组看故事场景,编写小对话,练习过去进行时的用法,并在班级中表演展示。
Step 2 Pre-reading
Let’s learn
T shows some pictures and the sentences describing the pictures. Then learn the new words or expressions in the sentences as a whole class.
【设计意图】学习新单词,为学习本课时的内容做铺垫。
Activity 1
Ss look at the picture in Activity 2 and say what you think is strange.
【设计意图】通过图片导入故事,激活学生头脑中故事的相关情节,还可以帮助学生熟悉与话题相关的词汇,为后面的阅读做准备。

Work in groups and read the start of Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland and guess what happens next.
【设计意图】活动2要求学生既要理解故事又要充分发挥想象力,锻炼学生的口语表达能力、句子组织能力,有一定的挑战性。
Activity 3
1. Ask Ss to read the events in Activity 3 individually.
2. Let Ss read the article and number the events in order they happened.
3. Check the answers as a class.
Careful reading
1. Read Para. 1 and fill in the blanks.
2. Read Para. 2 and decide True (T) or False (F).
3. Read Para. 3 and answer the questions.
Activity 4
1. Lead Ss to read the words and expression in the box and check if they understand them.
2. Ask Ss to work in pairs and ask and answer the questions.
3. Elicit answers to the questions from the whole class.
【设计意图】通过设置一系列的活动,帮助学生更好地理解故事,提高学生的阅读理解能力。
Fill in the blanks and try to retell the passage.
Language points
1. Once or twice she looked into her sister’s book. 她偶尔看一眼姐姐的书。
once or twice的意思是“偶尔,一两次”。
2. “And what is a book for,” thought Alice, “without pictures or conversations?” “没有插图也没有对话的书有什么用?”爱丽丝想。
What … for? 表示“有什么用,为什么”。
3. She heard the rabbit say, “Oh, dear! Oh, dear! I will be late!”…她听到兔子说到:“天哪!天哪!我要迟到了!”……
hear sb. do sth. 意为“听见某人做了某事”或“听见某人经常做某事”。
辨析:hear sb. do sth.与hear sb. doing sth.
4. She found that she was falling down a very, very deep hole.她发现她正在掉进一个非常非常深的洞里。
deep在此处作形容词,意为“(从顶部往下)深的”。还可以用于引申义,如指声音“深沉”、颜色“深浓”、感情“深厚”、问题“深奥”、性质或程度“深 (入)”等。
5. While she was falling, she was thinking about her cat, Dinah.当她往下坠落时,她在想她的猫,戴娜。
while在此处用作动词,意为“当……的时候”。
think about 意为“考虑” ,其后可跟名词、代词或v.-ing形式作宾语。一般指回想过去的事情或考虑某事、或某计划是否可行。
6. Suddenly she landed on some dry leaves…忽然她落在了一些干叶子上……
land on 意为“落到……上”。
【设计意图】学习本课时的语言点,帮助学生系统地掌握新知识。
1. Ask Ss to work in groups, read the questions and talk about their possible answers.
2. Check the answers as a whole class.
3. Learn the Learning to learn.
Activity 6
1. Ask Ss to work in groups and imagine what happened next after Alice found a small key on the table.
2. Each group writes down their story, using “after”, “next”, “then”, etc. to show the sequence of the events.
3. Each group chooses one group member to share their story with the whole class. The group which writes the best story can get some prizes.
【设计意图】完成活动5的问句和答语匹配,然后根据活动5完成活动6续写故事的活动。通过这些活动,主要是培养学生思想观点的表达,而不只是简单的写作。
3. Let Ss do some exercises to consolidate what they have learned.
【设计意图】通过练习巩固本课所学知识,考查学生对知识的掌握程度。
