Step 1 Warming-up
Free talk
T has a free talk with Ss: How many time zones are there in China? If it is 7:00 am, what are
people doing in Shandong and Xinjiang?
设计意图:复习现在进行时,活跃课堂气氛,调动学生学习英语的兴趣。
Step 2 Presentation
Learn the the grammar—the present continuous tense.
Step 3 Practice
1. Do the grammar exercises and check the answers together.
2. Look at the pictures and answer the questions.
3. Read the passage “Around the world” and then complete the table.

3. T chooses the best one from these reports.
