    Unit5 Do you want to watch a game show一、教学目标: 1. 语言知识目标:1) 能掌握以下单词:sitcom, news, soap opera, mind, stand, educational, plan, hope, find out, expect , jokes能掌握以下句型: What do you want to watch?   What do you think of talk shows? I can’t stand them. I don’t mind them.   I like/love them. / I don’t like them.  2) 能了解以下语法:   动词不定式结构做动词的宾语;后面接动词不定式做宾语的动词。如, want to do ,plan to do , expect to do 等等3)学会陈述自己的看法;学会谈论自己的喜好。2. 情感态度价值观目标:  学会谈论流行文化,了解各类电视和电视节目的名称和自己的喜欢。 注意引导学生们形成正确的文化观念,大力培养学生们的跨文化意义,形成自己独立的个性。二、教学重难点1. 教学重点:1) 学习掌握各类电视和电视节目的名称。2) 掌握动词不定式结构做动词的宾语;了解后面接动词不定式做宾语的动词。 2. 教学难点:掌握动词不定式结构做动词的宾语;了解后面接动词不定式做宾语的动词。教学步骤:Step1. Enjoy the theme songT: Now let’s enjoy the song from Hua Qiangu. Then ask: Do you like the theme song? Do you like the Tv play called Hua Qiangu? Do you often watch Tv? How often do you watch Tv? What kind of Tv shows do you like?(设计意图:用学生喜欢的电视剧引出本单元的话题和本节课的教学,让学生在愉快的情绪中进入课堂。)Step2. Presentation Show some pictures, Ask what kind of Tv show is it? present “ a talk show, a sports show, a game show, a talent show’’ . T: What do you want to watch? (talk shows/sports shows/talented shows/game shows )S1: I want to want to watch…   S1: What do you want to watch?S2…S2: What do you…S3:…T: Do you want to watch a sitcom? Show other pictures , present new words  “sitcom, soap opera, newsThen finish 1a(设计意图:利用幻灯片自然地引出电视节目:talent shows, talk shows, game shows, sports shows sitcoms, soap opera, news,并通过一问一答,学生能熟练说出这些电视节目名称.)Step3 Guessing and presentationT: What do I want to watch?Ss guess by asking me “Do you want to watch…? S1: Do you want to watch news?T: No, I don’t. I can’t stand it. Because I think It’s boring.S2: Dou you want to watch sports game?T: No, I don’t . Although I don’t mind . I like soap operas because I think they’re enjoyable. So tonight I plan to watch a soap opera. Teach the new words “stand, mind, plan to ”T: What about you ,XXX? What do you think of sitcoms? S3: I Like…because I think… but I don’t mind …(幻灯片呈现表情符号) I love them/it/ I like them /I don’t mind them/ I don’t like them/ I can’t stand them/…S4: I… because….  But I can’t stand… because…Ask the other Ss to write down the answers. then talk about their likes and dislikes.(设计意图:用猜的方式,巩固学生所学的单词和句型。 同时并呈现单词:mind, stand. 和句型 What do you think of…让学生记忆更深刻,学习更加愉快。)Step4. Listening T: We’ve known some kinds of Tv shows. Let’s listen to the tape and number the shows in order.(SectionA1b)Listen again and repeat them .Then fill in the blank.(设计意图:学生练习完对话后再来听这段听力材料,就会觉得简单易懂。也取到了调节情绪的作用,让学生感受到成功的喜悦。)Step5PracticeGet the Ss to practice the conversation. Then make their own conversations.S1: What do you want to watch? S2: I want to watch sitcomsS1: Why do you like watching them?S2 Because I think they’re enjoyable. So What about you?What do you think of sitcoms?S1: They’re Ok, I don’t mind them. S2: Well, we plan to watch a sitcom tonight.S1: Ok, a good idea.(设计意图:学生根据听到的内容进行对话,进而谈论自己的具体情况,巩固所学知识。学生并能在谈论中了解他人的喜好。)Step6. PresentationT: Some of you like sports shows, some like game shows. Do you know what kind of Tv show my family like?Show the pictures and sayT: My daughter likes to watch sitcoms. Because she thinks she can learn some great jokes from them. Tonight she plans to watch Homes With Kids. But my husband loves news. He thinks It’s more educational than any other show. He hopes to find out what’s going on around the world. But I love soap operas. I plan to watch Days of Our Past tonight. I expect to find out the joys of Childhood.Get Ss to read the words: jokes, educational, plan to , hope to, find out, what’s going on around the world.T: I have two friends, Lin hui and Sally. What do they think of the Tv shows? What do they plan to watch? Let’s listen to the tape.Play the recording, ask Ss to number the Tv shows.(SectionA2a)Play the recording, ask Ss to complete the sentences.(SetionA2b) Have Ss read after the tape.(设计意图:学生对老师家庭人员肯定很感兴趣。所以通过这样的提问,激发学生学习兴趣,引出2a2b 中的新词及其用法,既巩固了所学的知识,又加强了听力的训练,培养了正确的语音语调。)Step7: Practice T: This weekend is Tv Day, some students are talking about the Tv shows .they can make up the conversation by themselves.A: Nice weekend, what are you going to do tonight?B: I’m going to watch Tv shows.A: So do you want to watch…tonight?B: Oh, No. I …Because they’re/ It’s…A: Then what do you plan to watch?B:Hmm, I plan to watch…I …them/it. By the way , What do you think of …?A: I… them /it , because they’re/it’s …B:What can you expect to learn from them/it?A: I hope to /expect to …B: Ok, let’s watch together.T: Everyone has their likes and dislikes. The most important thing is to be yourself.(设计意图: 让学生熟练运用语言,他们可以在这个活动中愉快地学习,增进相互之间的了解,在原来单纯的句型对话的基础上加以综合应用。)Step8: Let’s conclude what learned1.know different kinds of Tv shows(talk shows, game shows, sports show, news, sitcom,soap opera, talent show)2.Talk about preferences(can’t stand,don’t like,don’t mind,like,love)3.Make plans(I want/hope/plan to...,Do you want to /plan to/What do you want to watch tonight )Step 9: HomeworkOral homework:1.
