Teaching aims;
1. 语言知识目标:
1) 能掌握以下单词:the day before yesterday, the day after tomorrow, weekday,weekend, look after,
2) 能掌握以下句型:
① — What’s today? — It’s Monday the 9th.
② — Can you play tennis with me? — Sorry, I can’t I have to .......
3) 能运用月份、星期、日期和the day before yesterday, the day after tomorrow, weekday等时间进行对话。能熟练运用can, have to等情态动词发出邀请和作答。
2. 情感态度价值观目标:
学会人际交往的基本常识,学会有礼貌地邀请别人以及回答别人的邀请的方式。理解“义务”涵义,学会承担自己应尽的义务,能够在班级以及社会生活中担当一定的责任。培养学生热爱生活,树立健康向上的生活态度
Teaching difficulties and key points.
1) 掌握本课时出现的生词及表达方式。
2) 进行听力训练,提高综合听说能力。
3) 能模仿听力材料结合生活实践,独立自主编写对话。
4) 学会对日期和星期的问答。
Teaching procedures:
Step1. Warming up
1. 复习表达请求与应答请求。
2. Enjoy a song about the Day of Week
Step2 . Presentation
1. Show a calendar to the Ss, then let them answer some questions.
T: What day is it today/tomorrow/the day after tomorrow?
S: It’s Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday.
2. T: What was/is the date yesterday/the day before yesterday/ today/tomorrow/the day after tomorrow?
S: 13th/14th/15th…. Let the students ask these questions one by one.
Step 3. Work on 1a and 1b. at the same time,learn the news phrases.the day before yesterday, the day after tomorrow, weekday, look after.
Step 4. Practice (Work on 1c)
1.look at the calendar and ask . For example :
What’s today/tomorrow /the day after tomorrow ? It’s ......
What was yesterday/the day before yesterday ? It was ......
- Group work.discuss with you partner and practice .
Step5. Listening (Work on 1d)
1. Tell Ss to listen to Vince and Andy’s conversation. Then circle Yes or No.
2. Play the recording for the Ss. Ss just listen for the first time. Play the recording again and circle.
3. Tell Ss they'll listen to the tape again. Then try to match Vince’s activities with the days in 1d. And check the answers with the Ss.
听力指导: 通过事先读表格中的内容,可以看出,本听力重点要求我们听清每个活动的时间安排,因此我们在听时应重点听句子中的活动及其时间, 并将时间与活动内容相连。
4.Play the recording again and fill in the blanks check the answers with the class.
5.Read the listening material by themselves.
6.Role-play the conversation .
Step 6 . Pair work (Work on 1e)
1. Work in pairs. One is Andy and the other is Vince. Andy, invite Vince to play tennis. Ask Ss to practice the conversations in pairs.
- look at the chart and make a conversation .(拓展延伸)。Ask students to act it out .
Step 7.Homework
1. make up a long conversation with your partner and write down.
