1) even though和even if两者均可用于引导让步状语从句，其细微区别是：even if 引导的从句是往往是假设性的，相当于汉语的“即使”“纵然”“就算”“哪怕”。  

even though引导的从句内容往往是真实的，主要用于引出不利于主句情况的信息，相当于汉语的“尽管”“虽然”。不过，在实际语言运用中，even if与even though有时也可不加区别地混用。  

例：

2) although和(even) though均可用于句首或从句之首。though多用于非正式文体中，较为通俗。

3) be full of = be filled with 充满，装满

What is love? Love can be a flower, a bottle of water, or a bus stop. Not long ago, a loving temporary (临时的) bus stop in Changde, Hunan Province, came to the attention of the public. It is a bus stop for one child.

Xuanxuan is a seven-year-old boy. His mother passed away when he was three years old. Since then, he has lived with his grandmother. When Xuanxuan started school, his grandmother took him to school every day. But shortly afterward, she couldn’t do that for health reasons. So now, Xuanxuan has to go to school himself. His home is a little far from the bus stop, and the road is narrow and busy. It is very dangerous for Xuanxuan to walk alone. Once, Xuanxuan even lost his way when going home. His grandmother was worried about him. Luckily, a group of warm-hearted people lent a hand. ①How would you feel if someone decided to take away your park? Well that’s what’s happening in my community(社区). There’s a park in my community, but some people want to turn it into a golf course(高尔夫球场). Let me tell you why I think it’s a bad idea.

②First, a park is meant to be for the whole community. Not everyone likes golf, so not everyone will get to use the park. This isn’t fair. A community park should have open spaces for everyone to use.

③Second, to make way for the golf course, lots of playground equipment(设施) will have to be moved or knocked down. This is a waste of time and money. It’s also a waste of perfectly good equipment. The swings(秋千), for example, will probably just end up as litter(废弃物).

④Third, what about giving young people something to do? Not all kids are crazy about golf. At the moment, the park has a skating place and a playground. These attract(吸引) lots of kids from the community. If you turn the park into a golf course, these kids won’t have anywhere to go and they won’t have anything to do. This means that they will stay at home and turn on a video game rather than get some exercise. It also means that they might be out on the street causing trouble.
