Teaching Materials:
Photos, PPT, Videos…
Teaching Procedures:
Step1: Lead in and Exploration
- watch a short video about phubbers
- show them the writing task of this class
- ask them to examine the topic carefully
Step2:Situation developing
- Divide the whole students into several groups
- skim the title and ask them to discuss the main parts of writing this composition.
- Get the students to write a simple outline
- Help the students to describe the three pictures one by one.
Step3:Interaction between the students and the teacher
- divide them into four groups and ask them to express their own opinions of being phubbers
- The teacher write down some useful linking words while discussing
3.let the students know the advantages and disadvantages of smart phones.
Step4: While writing
- Give students 15minutes to write the body and the ending of this composition
- Call students’ attention to some writing suggestions
Step5:Assessing effective
- Read and enjoy the compositions and correct it by themselves
- Exchange the compositions with their partners and find the good words and sentences.
