Step1 Warming up
1 Talking time
T: Good morning,boys and girls. Nice to meet you here. Now we are having a lesson in the lecture room. What’s in the room?
S (Answer)
T: What’s on the blackboard?
S (Try to answer.)
T: Let me help you. It’s in the kitchen. When summer comes, I’ll put a lot of ice-cream in it.
S (Try to guess.)
T(Show the fridge)
Step 2 Presentation
1 Grammar time
(1) There be结构
- Guessing time
T: What’s in the fridge? Guess. Try to answer “There is… There are…”
S: There is/are … in the fridge.
T (学生说到的东西贴在冰箱里,但是乱放。)
T(若有东西学生没说到)What else are in the fridge? Look.(出示实物图,引导学生说)
b. Thinking time
T: There are a lot of things in my fridge. You know there are two rooms in the fridge. One is the cold room, and the other is the freezing room. What’s in the cold room? And what’s in the freezing room? Try to put the things in the right place and introduce with “There is /are…”.
S(移动冰箱内的实物图,肉在冷冻层,其余在冷藏层)There’s /are...’
c. Discussing time
呈现Grammar time中there be 结构的版块
T:Great! What did you say just now. (板书There is /are...)Let’s take a look at these sentences. Read in pairs and try to find some rules. What have you found?
S ( Discuss and answer)
T: We can divide the nouns into two groups, countable and uncountable. We use “is” before uncountable nouns and singular forms. We use “are” before plural forms. Clear? Let’s try to use them correctly.
d. Design a big dinner
T: You see, we have a lot of food and drinks and it’s almost lunch time. Let’s prepare a big lunch. Discuss in pairs and stick the stickers on the table. Try to say there is/are... to discuss.
f. Show the big dinner
T: What’s for your lunch? Is it healthy? You can leave your seat and introduce to each other.

T: Whose lunch is healthy? Please introduce.
T: Great! Our family had a big dinner yesterday because it was my father’s birthday. What’s for our dinner? Is it healthy?(用实物投影呈现老师的大餐)
(2) General questions of present progressive
- Guess what they are doing.
T: We enjoy the big dinner. It’s seven o’clock in the evening. What are my family doing?
T: Look, I’m in the dinning-room. What am I doing? You can say “Are you…”(板书句型)
S (Guess)
T: Look, I’m cleaning the table in the dinning-room.(PPT呈现图片)
T: My parents are in the living-room. What are they doing? How to guess?
S: Are they…?(板书句型)
T:Good. I give you 30 seconds to discuss in four. Let’s see how many different answers you can get. Can you see the numbers? When time is up, you’ll hear the sound.

S: They are watching TV. (PPT呈现图片)
T: My son is in the study. What is he doing? How to guess?

2 Fun time
(1) 播放视频,教学游戏方法
T: Look, what are we doing now? Guess.
S (看视频的图片猜测)Are you …?
S (Watch a video of Fun time.)
T: What are we doing?
S: You’re playing a game.
T: Do you want to play this game? It’s on P62.
(2) Play in groups of four.
T: Let’s play in four. Come on! Try to be the winner.
(3) Choose a student to act and PK in groups.
T: Now let’s have a PK in groups. Who wants to be the actor?
Who can give orders?(邀请两个同学上台,一个出指令,一个演,其余同学猜,小组比赛)
(4) Act and lead in “Reading time”
T: It’s my turn to act. Look, what am I doing?
S: Are you reading a book?
T: Yes. Have a look at my book. What story is it?
S: Goldilocks and three bears.
T: But it’s a new one. Do you want to read it? Read together. Goldilocks is in the forest. There is a nice house. She goes into the house. It’s not completed. Look, what is the bear doing? Read, guess and try to finish the story with your deskmate.
3 Reading time
不完整故事:
(1) Goldilocks is in the forest. There is a nice house. She goes into the house.
(2) At first, Goldilocks comes into the kitchen. There is a bear. There are some vegetables. What is he doing now? Is he_________________? Oh, no. Look! He’s ________________.
(3) Then she comes into the dining-room. She sees another bear standing in front of the fridge. There’re so many things in the fridge. There is_____________________. There are________________. What is the little bear doing? Is he_________________? No. Yes. How busy he is!
(4) At last she goes into the living-room. There is a big TV in it. Are they________________? Oh, yes. How happy they are! The end.
(1) Finish the story in pairs
T: Let’s enjoy your story. We read Picture One together. Who can share Picture 2/3/4 with us?
(2) Listen to the story
T: What’s my story? Listen and find the differences between ours. (播放录音)
S (Listen and circle)
T: What are the differences?
S: In my story the bear is… but in your story he is…
T: I like your story too.
T: You see there are some questions in the story. Why do we use questions to write the story?
S (Try to answer)
T: Yes, the questions can make the readers interested in the story and make the story vivid. So try to use the way to write stories later. I hope you enjoy reading and enjoy thinking.
4 Homework
(1) Go on to play the game in “Fun time” and write down the dialogues.
(2) Read the story “Goldilocks”.
(3) Preview Cartoon time and Sound time.
