Watch the video to feel the natural disaster and review the words. Make own choices and begin reading the passage to check the answers.视频感受灾难的可怕,反思人类活动导致的严重后果。读前活动思考并选择造成自然灾害的原因,训练学生的审辩思维能力,为后续活动做铺垫。 Step 2:Reading 1.Read and choose.Read the titles and guess the main idea of the passage according to the pictures and key information, then read it quickly to find the evidence sentences or words to support your choice.2.Read and complete.1)Read and list the natural disasters that human disasters cause.Sandstorms are caused naturally by strong winds blowing over loose soil or sand.Smog is partly caused by the gases from heavy industry and vehicles.2)Read again and finish the table in task 11. 3.Language points analysis.Analyze the following:discussion,blow,loose,soil,urban,acid rain,volcano,sustainable,realize,global electric cars,definitely,prevent; 4. Read and analyze.Discuss in groups and group the facts and opinions.Find the evidence sentence tho support the opinions to finish task12. 5. Discuss and share.Work in groups to give more examples about natural disasters caused by human activities and more suggestions to deal with the problems. Read and choose the right title of the passage,underline the evidence information. Read the article again to understand relationship between the natural disasters and human activities.
