主谓一致是指 和 在人称和数上保持一致。主谓一致遵循三个原则: 原则,指主语和谓语在人称和数上一致,如 ;意义一致原则,指谓语动词的单复数形式与主语的意义一致,如 ;邻近原则,指谓语动词的形式与其最邻近的主语在人称和数上一致,如 和 。
主谓一致是指句子主语和谓语在“人称”和“数”方面保持一致,即谓语动词的形式必须随着主语人称和数的变化而变化。
一、语法一致原则
语法一致原则是指主语的单复数决定了谓语动词的单复数。
1.主语是单数,谓语动词用单数;主语是复数,谓语动词用复数。

考试结果将很快被公布。
His advice has been accepted.
他的建议已被接受。
2.动名词短语、动词不定式短语、单个从句作主语时,谓语动词常用单数。
Reading alud is gd fr us t learn English.
大声朗读对我们学习英语有好处。

When we can g ut freely has nt been decided yet.
我们什么时候能自由出行还未决定。
3.复合不定代词anyne,smebdy,everything,nthing 等作主语时,谓语动词用单数。
If anyne sees Mary,ask her t cme t my ffice.
如果有人看见玛丽,请她到我办公室来。
4.“many a+单数名词/mre than ne+单数名词”作主语时,谓语动词用单数形式。
Many a student cmes int the classrm.
很多学生进了教室。
Mre than ne student wants t jin the army.
不止一个学生想参军。
二、意义一致原则
意义一致原则是指形单意复的名词或形复意单的名词要根据其意义来决定谓语动词的单复数。
1.当peple,plice,cattle等词作主语时,谓语动词往往用复数。
The plice are searching fr the missing child.
警方正在寻找那个失踪的孩子。
2.表示时间、金钱、距离、体积、重量、面积等的复数名词作主语时,通常将其视为一个整体,谓语动词用单数。
Tw miles is t far fr the child.
两英里路程对这个小孩来说太远了。
3.“the+形容词”表示一类人,在句中作主语时,谓语动词用复数形式。
The rich are t help the pr.
富人要帮助穷人。
4.表示某国人总称的词,如:the Chinese,the British等作主语时,谓语动词用复数。
The Chinese are hard-wrking.
中国人民是勤劳的。
5.以-s结尾但意义为单数的news,maths,physics等作主语时,谓语动词用单数。
Plitics is a difficult subject fr many students.
对许多学生来说,政治是一门很难的学科。
The news that he passed the test is exciting.
他通过测试的消息激动人心。
6.单复数同形的词sheep,deer等作主语时,谓语动词单复数与实际意义一致。
Three sheep are eating grass there.

A sheep is lying there.

三、就近一致原则
就近一致原则是指谓语动词的单复数取决于离它最近的主语的单复数。
1.由r,,,nt als...,等连接的并列主语的单复数与最近的主语保持一致。

不是你就是他应该为项目的失败负责。
Nt yu but I am respnsible fr the delay.
不是你而是我应对这次的延误负责。
2.在there be/here be 句型中,谓语动词的数应与最近的一个主语保持一致。
There are tw chairs and a desk in the ffice.
办公室里有两把椅子和一张桌子。
四、主谓一致的几个难点
1.并列主语的主谓一致
(1)两个单数名词或不可数名词用and连接,表示两个不同的概念时,谓语动词用复数。
Steam and ice are different frms f water.
蒸汽和冰是水的不同形式。
(2)两个单数名词用and 连接,表示同一人,同一物或同一概念时谓语动词用单数。
The peasant and writer is making a speech in the meeting rm.
那位农民作家正在会议室里发表演讲。
(3)两个并列的名词前有each,every,n,many a等修饰限定时,谓语动词一般用单数。
Each student and each teacher was given a ticket.
每个学生和老师都领到了一张票。
Every man and every wman is at wrk.
所有人都在工作。
2.主语后有with,tgether with,like,but,as well as,except,including,rather than,besides等引导的词或短语时,谓语动词要和前面的主语保持一致。
The teacher tgether with sme students is visiting the factry.
老师带着一些学生正在参观工厂。
Nbdy but ne teacher and three students was in the labratry.
只有一名教师和三名学生在实验室里。
3.某些名词作主语时的主谓一致
(1)集合名词family,class,crwd,team,gvernment,cmpany,grup等作主语时,如果强调整体,谓语动词用单数;如果强调个体,谓语动词用复数。
Our class is better than any ther class at playing ftball in ur schl.
在我们学校,我们班在踢足球方面比其他任何班都好。(强调整体)
His family are waiting fr him t cme back frm abrad.
他的家人正在等他回国。(强调个体)
(2)由两部分构成的表示物体的名词如:trusers,pants,jeans,shes,glasses 等作主语时,谓语动词常用复数形式。但如果这类名词前用了a pair f/tw pairs f 来修饰,谓语动词的单复数往往取决于pair 的单复数形式。
These trusers need washing.
这些裤子需要洗。
This pair f trusers is hers.
这条裤子是她的。
4.数词与量词作主语时的主谓一致
(1)当百分数或分数修饰的名词作主语时,谓语动词用单数还是用复数由名词来决定。
Abut three furths f the surface f the Earth is water.地球表面大约四分之三是水。
Abut 50 percent f the students in ur schl are girls.
我们学校大约百分之五十的学生是女生。
(2)由“kind(type,srt,species,prtin,series) f”等修饰的主语,其谓语形式取决于这些词的单复数而不是它们后面所跟的名词。

必须克服各种各样的困难。
A series f debates between the lecturers was scheduled fr the next weekend.
讲师之间一系列的辩论被安排在下周末。
(3)a number f(许多),a variety f(各种各样的)修饰名词作主语时,谓语动词要用复数形式。但是the number f(……的数目)和the variety f(……的种类)修饰名词作主语时,谓语动词要用单数形式。

许多学生来自南方。
The number f students frm the suth is large.
来自南方的学生人数很多。
5.“ne f+可数名词复数”之后跟定语从句时,从句谓语动词用复数形式;在肯定句中,“the (nly) ne f+可数名词复数”之后跟定语从句时,从句谓语动词用单数形式。

这是其中一本用法语写的书。
He is the nly ne f the bys in ur class wh has learned French.
他是我们班里唯一学过法语的男孩。
