Teaching aims:
1.Enable students to understand the content and structure of an investigation interview about online habits.
2.Guide students to master how to define new words and use the skill to catch the key information in the listening process.
3.Help students to identify the useful sentence patterns and expressions from the listening text.
4.Talk about online activities and the reasons for using the Internet.
Teaching key points:
- Enable students to get the main information by means of definition.
- Enable students to do a survey about online habits of their schoolmates through speaking practice.
Teaching difficult points:
- Cultivate students’ listening strategies by learning ways to define new words and be able to apply them to listening.
- Enable students to discuss each other’s online habits using the useful sentence patterns and expressions in the listening text.

Read the quote on the Opening Page and discuss the following questions
- What can you see in the picture?
