【教学目标】
1.通过猜谜游戏和小组活动帮助学生学习核心句型What colour is your ball? 及其回答It's red and white.
2.帮助学生学会用日常用语What's the matter?关心同学和朋友。
3.通过转陀螺下棋游戏帮助学生复习26个字母,同时进一步巩固和运用本单元核心句型。

【教学过程】
I. Pre-task preparations
1.出示26个字母的卡片,带领学生朗读 Review the letters的字母和单词。
T: Aa, apple, Bb, bag...
还可以带领学生一起朗读他们学过的字母儿歌。
T: A for apple. B for bag. An apple in a bag.
...
2.单词游戏。教师快速出示生词卡片,让学生说出颜色并拼读单词。
T: (flash the card for red) What colour is it?
S1: It's red.
T: How do you spell the word “red”?
S2: R-E-D, red.
…
II. While-task procedures
1.游戏“猜一猜”请一个学生到讲台前背对黑板,教师拿出各种文具或玩具,然后从中任意挑出一件,请在座位上的学生描述这个物品的形状、颜色等,请台上的这名学生猜是什么东西。
S1: It is long.
S2: It is red.
T: It is red and long. What is it?
S4: Is it a pencil?
T: Yes, it is. / No, it isn't.
最后拿出一个红白相间的皮球,让学生描述。
S1: It is big.
S2: It is round.
S3: It is red and white.
T: What is it?
S4: Is it …?
如果学生不会表达两种相间的颜色,教师可以给予帮助,为接下来的教学做铺垫。
2.播放Listen and say的录音,请学生合上书听录音,然后回答以下问题(如果学生回答有一定的困难,教师可以自问自答,目的是启发、帮助学生理解对话)。
(1)How many children can you hear? (Three.)
(2)Is the little girl happy or sad? Why? (She's sad. She can't see / find her ball.)
接着,让学生打开课本,边看图边跟录音朗读课文,然后进一步回答问题。
What colour is the ball? (It's red and white.)
Who sees / finds the ball? (Alice.)
Is the little girl happy now? (Yes, she's happy.)
What does she say to Alice and Kitty? (“Thank you.”)
3.带领学生朗读课文,然后请个别学生分角色朗读课文,接着把学生分成小组朗读,最后全班集体朗读。
4.角色扮演。学生三人一组,分角色表演 Listen and say的对话。然后请几组学生上来表演。
III. Post-task activities
1.请学生仔细观察Listen and say中的第一幅图后讨论。
How many children are there? (Three.)
Is there a kite in the sky? What colour is it?
(Yes. It's yellow.)
假设一个小男孩玩丢了风筝,让学生帮忙找到风筝。
T: A little boy is looking for his kite. He is looking here and there. He can't find it. Can you help him?
让学生三人一组,一个扮演丢风筝的小孩,两个扮演帮忙的学生,编一段对话。
S1: What's the matter?
S2: I can't find my kite.
S3: What colour is your kite?
S2: It's yellow.
S1: Look! Is this your kite?
S2: Yes, it is! Thank you.
2.让学生做Review the letters的游戏。学生结对玩游戏,轮流旋转数字陀螺,转到相应的数字就将棋子移到相应的卡片上,并读出卡片上的字母,任意说一个含有该字母的单词。还可以变换游戏形式,让学生六人一组(三人为A方,三人为B方)玩游戏,要求A方或B方学生正确地读出棋子对应的字母,并用这张卡片上的单词编段与课文内容相关的对话,如陀螺停在3,则A1、A2、A3把棋子向前移动三格,读出字母Cc,并编一段对话如:
Al: What's the matter?
A2: I can't find my cat.
A3: What colour is your cat?
A2: It's yellow and black.
A1&A3: Look! Is that your cat?
A2: Yes, it is. Thank you.
对话内容可以做适当变化。只要对话正确,棋子就可以前行;如果任何一方读错字母或编不出对话,就停转一次陀螺,最先到达终点的一方获胜。
