    选择性必修三 Unit 1 Reading and Thinking UNIT 1  ARTPeriod 1 Reading and Thinking 英语  授课教师  学目 By the end of this section, students will be able to:read about the history of Western painting and some famous artists;get information about differences in Western painting styles throughout history by making a flow chart;identify some words, phrases and sentences about change;express their opinions on appreciating artworks. 该板块的主题是“学习西方绘画艺术的不同风格(Learn about different painting styles in Western art)”该板块引导学生通过阅读西方绘画简史的知识性小品文,了解西方绘画艺术历史,把握不同历史时期西方绘画作品的特色,通过分享和交流各自欣赏的西方绘画风格,思考和挖掘艺术的意义和价值。 引导学生熟悉并掌握该部分的话题词汇;引导学生通过阅读获取文章的主旨大意、组织结构和体裁风格;3. 引导学生通过阅读了解西方绘画艺术的发展历史,并通过细读文本,提炼和总结西方绘画艺术历史及各时期绘画作品的显著特点。 1. 识别语篇中有关“变化”的各种显性和隐性的描述语言,积累相关表达方式;2. 根据文本信息挖掘影响和推动西方绘画艺术变化发展的多重因素,拓展知识的深度和广度;3. 结合不同时期西方绘画艺术的风格特点,对不同的绘画作品进行分析,辨别其创作时期和创作风格。 Lead-inTask 1: Look and discuss引导学生根据单元标题和主题图了解单元主题。 What do you know about the painting School of Athens? Do you know who painted it? What can you see in the painting? Who are these people? What are they doing? What does the painting make you think about and how does it make you feel? Why do you think the painter created this work of art? What idea did the painter want to convey? Task 2: Discuss the quote by Ralph Waldo Emerson教师引导学生讨论爱默生的名言“Love of beauty is taste. The creation of beauty is art.”并进一步表达自己对艺术的理解。 Why do you think people create art and what do they want to convey to their audience?

Read the words and expressions indicating change. Discuss the following questions in groups. Why have Western painting styles been changing? What are the factors that have influenced the changes in Western painting styles? Give your reasons.2.
