教学目标	By the end of this section, students will be able to: read famous science fiction; identify people’s relationship in the science fiction; find out the similarities and differences between a robot, Tony, and a human being through comparison and contrast; write an ending for the science story; explore the relationship between humans and robots in the future.
教学主题	该板块的活动主题是“探索人与机器人的关系”（Explore the relationship between humans and robots）。对青少年而言，机器人本身并不是新鲜话题。但随着人类科技发展，尤其是人工智能与机器人的结合，与人无异的机器人很可能不再是科学幻想，而将成为人类面临的复杂、难以预料后果的现实。本板块的阅读文本改编自阿西莫夫的科幻短篇小说《包你满意》（又译：《保证满意》）。该小说是早期探究人与机器人关系的经典作品之一。学生阅读小说，一方面学习科幻小说这种文学体裁，另一方面还要能够结合故事内容，初步探讨未来机器人融入人类生活后可能出现的问题和挑战。
教学重点	引导学生阅读著名科幻小说；引导学生识别小说中人物的关系；引导学生通过比较和对比发现人与机器人的相同点和不同点；引导学生为该科幻小说续写结尾。
教学难点	引导学生探索未来生活中的人与机器人的关系。
教学内容与过程	Lead-in 结合本单元话题设置问题，让学生展开讨论，进行课堂预热。  What do you see in the picture? What things does the picture remind you of?  Have you read any science fiction? What elements does science fiction usually include? Step 1 Pre-reading 让学生完成活动1，讨论所示问题。  How do robots already help humans in their lives today?  What is a domestic robot? Name some domestic robots you know or use.  What do you think domestic robot could do for a family in the future? 让学生结合课文标题，预测文章内容：  Whose satisfaction do you think will be guaranteed? What does the word “adapted” mean?  How are robots usually described in science fiction?  Will there be a robot in this novel? What type of robot will it be? Step 2 While-reading 让学生通读文章，验证对文章内容的猜测，完成活动2，理清人物关系。带领学生阅读课本的阅读策略，学会运用比较和对比，并运用该策略完成活动5，掌握对机器人和人类异同的描述。 Step 3 Post-reading 让学生完成活动3的续写任务，分组构思故事结尾。老师呈现一些问题，启发学生创作。  What would happen next in the party? Was it a success?  What would happen to Claire? Was she eventually satisfied?  What would happen to Tony? Did he pass the test in the experiment? 让学生听故事的原始结尾，并将自己续写的结尾与之比较，发表个人看法。  Do you like the ending? Why or why not?  What is your ending? How different is it from your ending?  Which one do you think is better? Why? 带领学生梳理整个故事，让学生完成活动4，梳理Claire对机器人的情感变化，并思考如下问题：  What will a real housekeeper do in these occasions? What about Claire’s husband? 引导学生通过思考如下问题，进一步探讨文章主题。  Are Tony’s actions and words all included in the experiment or self-developed? Has Tony hurt Claire or protected her? Why?  Do you think Tony is a success or a failure? Why?  Will robots evolve and have their own intelligence or feelings? 引导学生完成活动6，和同伴谈论所示问题，进一步探索未来生活中的人与机器人的关系。  Do you think it is possible for a person to love a robot? Why?  What relationship do you think will develop between humans and robots in the future? Step 4 Homework  Read the text aloud.  Polish up your ending of the story. And exchange ideas with your partner.					备注
