2.Let’s say Show some pictures of the cartoon characters on the PPT. Let students introduce the cartoon characters with the sentence structure “This is…” freely. Step 2: Presentation1. Learn the new sentence – Good afternoon. (1) Review and learn. T: Look! It’s morning now! How do you greet others in the morning? Ss: Good morning. T: Well done! (2) Teach the sentence“Good afternoon.” T: Is it morning now? Ss: No! T: It’s afternoon now! Teach students the pronunciation and the meaning of “afternoon” -指中午12点至日落这个时间段 T: How do you greet others in the afternoon? Who can have a try? Write down the sentence “Good afternoon.” on the blackboard. Let students follow the teacher and practice it with their partners. (3) Let’s play Ss say the sentences “good morning/afternoon” according to the time.
2. Let’s talk (1) Show the pictures of Let’s talk. Introduce the background of the picture. Lead students to watch and answer the questions: Q1: How does Mike introduce Wu Yifan? Q2: How does Mike’s mum greet Wu Yifan? Q3: How does Wu Yifan greet Mike’s mum? Q4: How does Mike’s mum answer Wu Yifan?
Teach students the pronunciation and the meaning of “Nice to meet you.” Then tell students how to use “Nice to meet you, too.” Write down the sentences “Nice to meet you.” “Nice to meet you, too.” on the blackboard. Let students practice the two sentences.
(2) Let’s try – ask Ss to link the train carriages. (3) Listen and repeat.
Step 3: Practice 1. Let’s act
2. Complete the dialogue
3. Let’s play Show the hand puppets of Zoom and Zip. Let students imitate the dialogue of “Let’s play” and make their own dialogues.
Step5 Summary 1. 学习了和别人初次见面时打招呼的句型: Nice to meet you.
2.学习了下午向别人问好的句型: Good afternoon.
